Plant Inspection:
§ Attendance during inspection of DPT designed chemical plants in construction.
§ Ensuring the correct interpretation of design intent through the visual inspection of chemical plant construction in accordance with the DPT design package, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, Equipment Process Datasheet and Plot Plans..
§ Supporting the Resident Engineer Beijing during visits to operating chemical plants, providing client support and troubleshooting problems to improve the performance of the plant. This role will require collection of operating data to further improve the DPT plant design.
§ Attendance during client's inspection of DPT supplied imported equipment and static equipment internals.
§ Production of English language calculations and reports.
The successful applicant will:-
§ Be a university graduate holding a qualification in Chemical/Process Engineering.
§ Have 5+ years' experience working in the petrochemical industry in a position of some responsibility.
§ Have a good level of both verbal and written technical English.
§ Be able to demonstrate proficiency in interpretation and implementation of the requirements of technical drawings, specifically Process and Instrumentation Diagrams and Equipment Process Datasheets.
§ Have a good understanding of hydraulic design and process control. Experience of plant operation would be beneficial.
§ Show a high level of confidence when working with DPT and the client's personnel.
§ Have the desire to gain an understanding of the process technologies supplied by DPT and will want to continuously improve the standard of the service and advice offered by DPT.
§ Willing to travel throughout China and represent DPT alone or as part of an engineering team for short periods.
§ Demonstrate an ability to work independently and within a small team of multi-disciplined engineers.
