Our client is an award-winning global cruise vacation provider. Own seven brands operate a combined total of 48 ships with an additional eleven on order. They operate diverse itineraries around the world that call on approximately 490 destinations on all seven continents.
A key member of the China core team is the Head of Public Relations and his/her profile is as follows:
Job Responsibilities
1. Location: Shanghai
2. Reporting to: Head of Marketing, China & North Asia
3. Subordinates: TBD
4. Main Responsibilities:
？Responsible for consumer and trade communications strategies for all major cruise brands and corporate image. Facilitate the successful execution of PR campaigns while effectively managing costs & expenses;
？Develop and execute annual PR plan for cruise brands, as well as the corporate image building;
？Lead PR activities for product sales campaign, including developing plan, messages, release, Q&A and driving publicity for seasonal cruise products;
？Respond to incoming inquiries from media;
？Write and edit press releases to high standard consistent with company/brand messaging and editorial guidelines;
？Handle outgoing media placements, with short-lead newspapers, long-lead magazines, trade publications and broadcast media;
？Design and manage press conference, media gathering, etc;
？Develop media activity reports on a regular basis;
？Work with trade and government associations to leverage non-media public relations channels;
？Organize press briefings, media training, media interview for executives;
？Maintain and update the PR function on company website;
？Event management for corporate seminars.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
1.Knowledge/Experience:
？Minimum 10 years of experience in MNC organization, preferably some experience in reputable PR agency;
？Experience in tourism or hospitality industry is a plus;
？Proven track record of effective written, verbal & presentation communications skills to pitch and place consumer-oriented stories in targeted China media;
？Experience in managing multi-media platform to generate publicity, including i-WOM;
？Event management experience.
2.Skills and Abilities:
？Extraordinary attention-to-detail and ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and shifting priorities;
？Innovative & creative with can-do attitude;
？Willing to travel.
3.Education:
？Bachelor degree or above from top journalism or communications program at reputable university.
