Position Purpose: In Beijing Custom Engineering team, to develop software components, write technical documents, integrate different software components, investigate complex software issues and provide solutions.




Reports to: Department Manager



Location: Beijing



Responsibilities:
Software analysis and design.
Software components development / implementation.
TRIAGE(Analyze) software issues (internal tech issues or external tech issues raised by customers).
Write technical documents, such as Function Spec.
Work with team members to integrate and test software components.
Interact with external engineers to support software integration and test software components, resolve technical problems, fix bugs.
Work on-site with customers in global offices or customer facilities as needed.
Use company database to track and manage global customer issues and research similar cases.
Review and analyze product and/or customer source code and trace output to isolate problems.
Profile
3+ year software developing experience.
Strong knowledge and skills in C/C++ programming.
· Strong problem solving skills.

Knowledge in Unix/Linux is required. Knowledge in DVB standard and CAS is a plus.
Knowledge of embedded system/real time system developing, driver programming.
Knowledge of source code control, experience with CVS and Perforce is a plus.
Experience with compilers, build environments.
· Ability to read complex source code, add diagnostics to assist with problem analysis and test fixes for any issues found.

· Ability to communicate effectively in English via email, telephone or in person with customer engineers and project managers.

· Ability to communicate effectively in French is a plus.

Strong self-motivation.
Good teamwork skills.
Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science, EE or equivalent.
