POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for Lam Research China IT operations to meet the requirements of GIS and local business units.


PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

? Technical

- Helpdesk experience (HW/SW (Windows/MS Office/other apps))
- Server management experience(Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008)
- Network knowledge for troubleshooting
- NetApp basic knowledge *preferred
- VMware basic knowledge *preferred

? Communication skills

- Cooperative relationship with local users (Required to present escalation action plans and status.)
- Clear communication among global (Asia) IT members and IT engineers and network service providers in English

? Leadership function
- May provide on-site instruction or IT training to users in China

? Ongoing responsibilities
- Provide onsite and helpdesk support for China users
- Troubleshooting of software and hardware fault
- Install application software and configure computer systems including Operating Systems and applications
- Thorough understanding and adherence to Global Information Systems policies, procedures and strategies
- Data backup/restore (NetBackup)
- Printer management
- Phone management
- IT parts purchasing
- IT equipment asset management including computer, printer, projector
- May perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
- Regularly contribute to key technical solutions, technology and process development.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

-Minimum education College or University graduation
-Minimum experience 3+ years of IT support experience
-Multiple years of IT support with English experience
-Good written and verbal communication skills (Chinese/English)
-Windows XP /7, MS Office 2007/2010, SharePoint (preferred)
-Windows Server 2003/2008, VMware, NetApp (preferred), NBU (preferred)
-Analytical and problem solving skills
