Our Client is a USA based group who specializes in sales & marketing of chemical additives.


POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Regional Technical Sales – East, South or North China
Reports to: Great China Sales Manager
Location: Shanghai, Guangzhou or Beijing


OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. This role is responsible for increasing sales of our client’s products for the assigned geographic area.
  2. Generate incremental sales and margin dollars in line with objectives set for the assigned territory.
  3. Obtain new product technical approvals and sales for our client products in Thailand.
  4. Manage activities of distribution partners in assigned territory.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships at Key Accounts within assigned territory.
  6. Implement a system of forecasting customer demand to ensure proper management of stocks.
  7. Represent Corporation at local and Regional exhibitions
  8. Prepare and distribute customer Call Reports on a timely basis.
    Perform special assignments as requested by Management.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Sales responsibilities of our client product range through the most viable distribution channels and by building long term relationships with customers, as well as through the optimization of our client’s sales potential and ensuring smooth delivery of products. The commercial approach is to drive the Marketing and Technical efforts. Regular appraisal is required of the most suitable distribution channels.
  2. Participation in local and Regional exhibitions, local seminars, and other creative individual initiatives in coordination with Marketing and Technical Departments.
  3. Conducts customer oriented projects with our client internal resources, development partners, customers, and selected Research Institutes.
  4. Local involvement at Strategic International Accounts in liaison with our client Key Account Management Team. Ensure regular and accurate reporting of sales by distributors to those key accounts.
  5. Medium/long-term project management at key local customer accounts; coordination of trials/testing of samples at our client laboratories in coordination with Technical Service Team; introduction, launch and selective market testing of new products.
  6. Coherent, regular and systematic visits to target customers in individual countries; communication of status and outcome to be through regular and timely call reports; actions and follow up to be reported.
  7. Perform special marketing projects as assigned including research and analysis to identify market segmentation opportunities.
  8. Generates Product Literature and develops other promotional information to be used in advertising, presentations, webmasters, distributor seminars and trade shows.
  9. Tracks each major competitor and identifies opportunities where the competition is vulnerable and identifies when new competitive introductions pose a threat to our products.
  10. Maintain, expand, and monitor “new business opportunities” project.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
  2. Several years of biocides experience, preferably in the paint and coatings industry.
  3. Strong data analysis skills and some knowledge of the APAC biocides market are required.
  4. Ability to travel is required.
