Jr. Accounting Manager (Project No. 143)

The company:

Our client is a worldwide industrial leader in the fields of tooling and manufacturing industries. The company has established subsidiaries in Europe, USA, Canada, India, Switzerland, Singapore and China, the Chinese subsidiary in Shanghai was opened in few years ago as a small sales office. For the new fresh set up, they are now seeking for an accounting expert/ controller who will be in charge of the daily accounting contributing for the further growth of the Chinese subsidiary.

Your mission and task:

You will be independently working and managing the bookkeeping, cost controlling, budgeting and all account receivable/payable of the sales company in Shanghai. Today accounting management is mostly outsourced and you will be responsible to establish the function internally in proper manner so the company can manage the accounting and finance areas without external help for the sales entity in China. Additionally you will report directly to international controlling in Germany on monthly, quarterly and annual basis, and coordinate the audits being the reliable counter partner for all financial status of the company. It is important that you support the general management in China by all figures. A comprehensive understanding of the Chinese accounting systems and a European controlling system to support the company will be your basis to be responsible for this role.

Your profile:

You have ideally studied accounting and finance management relevant subject and enjoy working with numbers or controlling them. You have working experience in accounting or controlling function for at least 3 years within a European company in a sales organisation and know how the accounting system in China works. You are aware of the difference in Chinese and international accounting and reporting system and can explain others what the differences are and can predict what questions may arise from the German HQ. You like working independently and enjoy having the numbers under your control. You are a native mandarin speaker and work today in an English speaking environment that you can communicate in English fluently.
