BASIC FUNCTION
Develop and implements surface collection strategy to assure full integration to product lines, regional/global finishes strategy, and company’s profitable growth and market position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Surface Collection Management
1. Manage surface collection strategy based on regional & specific market requirement and ensure full integration into Asia Pacific & emerging markets and global strategic plan. Develop offering strategy together with operations and procurement teams to ensure meeting customer delivery / product requirements / local suppliers etc;
2. Liaise with Category Management and Product Development to establish surface collection launch program; to assure effective market introduction – both short and long term. Position Haworth as the leader in surface collection/offering within the region;
3. Determine and conduct research on finishes trends continuously and translate into business strategy;
4. Maintain appropriate relationship with internal & alliance partners in order to continually abreast of product needs and trends;
5. Together with associated departments, conduct costing & pricing analysis based upon project requirement;
6. Partner with Marketing Communications and Category Management to implement best-in-class surface collection display and communication strategy for internal & external customers – such as collaterals and showroom display;
7. Act as the regional contact for in-house consultation on surface collection related matters and be a counterpart in global surface collection team. Solve issues at the factory relating to customer needs;
8. Serve as an active member during new product development & introduction projects to ensure strategic direction alignment.
Training
9. In conjunction with human resource and alliance partners, coordinate and lead product training for internal & external customer(s) as and when needed.
Documentation
10. Collaborate with Category Management closely to maintain system documentation related to responsible surface collection series.
RELATIONSHIPS
1. Internal Customers: Frequent contact with internal customers such as finance, operations, engineering, marketing, sales, quality and global sourcing. Regular communications with Haworth regional /global liaison functions;
2. External Contacts: Frequent contact with customers (dealer, end users & A&D) and vendors; occasional contact with industry organizations and compliance agencies.
REQUIREMENTS
1. University degree in fabric, trim finish,surface or related field;
2. Work experience in product marketing or interior design field. Office furniture industry experience is highly preferred;
3. Three-four years experience in field of marketing;
4. Design savvy;
5. Knowledgeable & technical background of fabric and trim finishes will be highly valued;
6. Project management skills;
7. Excellent computer skills, proficiency in data analysis software is desirable;
8. Good commence in written and oral communication skills - English and Chinese;
9. Ability to handle multiple projects in a parallel manner;
10. A team player with superior people skills.
