Our area managers are responsible for the sales performance, customer service and overall profitability of a number of COS stores within a region or area. Leading a team of store managers they are responsible for strategic planning and all major operational and commercial activities..
CUSTOMER SERVICE & SELLING
? Ensures a stores offer our customers an excellent level of service.
? Works with the area team to analyse monthly service performance reports and implement actions based on the feedback.
? Works with the area visual merchandiser to ensures that all sales campaigns are carried out in accordance with COS guidelines and standards.
? Works alongside the area visual merchandiser to secure a high standard of visual merchandising and optimise store layouts to drive selling.
? Works with selling reports, budgets and other available tools to make business decisions to drive selling
? Checks that each store has the correct garment allocation.
PROFITABILITY & OPERATIONS
? Monitors, establishes and follows up on sales targets, plans and budgets,
? Working collaboratively with the area tea, define and communicate the regions strategy to reach its business objectives to the store managers/head office.
? Regularly follow up on attainment of selling/profitability objectives with each store team.
? Analyse together with the area team reasons for deviations to the budgets and take action accordingly.
? Works alongside the area controller to ensure each store has an appropriate contract structure in place.
? Work with each store to ensure it has a good routine in place to handle all store operations.
? Works with the area controller to ensure each store is compliant with our store audit criteria and implements COS guidelines to avoid stock loss.
? Responsible for ensuring each store is compliant with all Health & Safety regulations.
PEOPLE & LEADERSHIP
? Partners with the area HR to recruit all store manager positions.
? Ensure all store managers receive the appropriate level of training.
? Assesses his/her staff and provide feedback about their performance on a regular basis.
? Identifies future talent and formulates clear and challenging goals to assist with their development.
? Administers the performance reviews of all store managers and members of the area team.
? Partners with the area HR to analyze the results of the annual employee survey
About you…
? Minimum 1 years previous experience as an area manager
? Fluent in English both written and verbal
? Strong commitment to providing a high level of customer service.
? Sales driven and results-oriented.
? Ability to make decisions and take risks as needed with minimal guidance.
? Strong problem solving skills and decision-making abilities
? Ability to multi-task, determine key priorities and delegate.
? Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and confidently.
? Excellent organisation and planning skills.
? Ability to set future goals and follow up on results.
? Ability to provide strong leadership and act as a role model for the H&M/ COS shared values.
? Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
