Objectives of the position

• The Testing Engineer is accountable for production calibration and testing software development and maintenance. He/she develops and implements the required system to ensure that the products are tested to meet the metrological specification.

Responsibilities

• Design/update the testing software as per requested by NPI project/special requirements from customer/engineering change/performance improvement needs, validate the software and give training to the related users before it go live in production. Deliver the software on time.
• Work together with software requirement originator on the specification and get it documented, document code consistently throughout the development process by listing a description of the program, special remark, basic installation & operation instructions, any changes made and training records
• Maintain the systems once they are up and running
• Improve the system by optimizing the program structure and code
• Stand out to support & solve the issues that comes up with the testing/calibration system, timely follow up and feedback.
• Coach operators and related technical staff on the applied testing system
• Share and give training to team with regard to communication protocol and application
• Communicate with engineers and manufacturer's technical support staff regarding programming needs and performance
• Provide feedback to staff/operators about performance considerations / usability issues concerning software specifications and implementation
• Communicate with staff and address the improvement opportunities on factory information management system/platform
• The contact to Product Responsible Units (FF) to understand the product requirement
• Give support to other location for which this testing/calibration software for the products under the responsibility of the PMU

Resource Qualifications

SoftwareEngineer/Electrical Engineer - Bachelor degree or above

Computer Skills

• LabView, SQL Server, Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, C#
• Microsoft office programs including: Excel, Work and Power point, (Projects is advantageous)

Work experience

Atleast 2 years’ experience working in a related Engineering environment. Candidateswho have worked in any of the following departments will be considered:

• Software development
• Electrical and Electronics
• Measuring and control technology
• Design and development

Desired

• 2 years’ experience as LabView developer
• Project experience of VB or C#, SQL server and MS Access, SCADA
• Familiar with hart/Modbus communication protocol, PA/FF is preferable
• Good knowledge of PLC/DCS is preferable
• Good communication skills

· Fluent English speaking andgood in writing

• Strong analytic and problem solving skills
• Strong sense of responsibility
• Passion, Hard driver; high energy level; positive attitude; team-work; works well under stress
• Detail oriented, customer oriented and self-motivated person
