The Specialist Works is the only independent international performance media agency, specialising in online and offline customer acquisition. We employ 140 people with offices in the UK, USA, Germany and Ireland, and partners in most major territories including Australia, Europe and Canada. TSW is all about delivering ‘extraordinary performance’. Unlike the big networks, TSW is free of trading constraints, and unlike independents, TSW is truly international, which matters more to fast-growth e-commerce clients more than ever before.
TSW have pioneered a unique and innovative way of using web and in-app data to judge the success of offline advertising campaigns. Particularly TV campaigns. Introducing this approach to Asian-based digital and mobile companies to help them grow their customer base in Europe and North America will be a core component of this role.
TSW are now looking to set up a Beijing-based new business team to grow the business that the agency does with Asian-based companies. The focus is on app and ecommerce clients.
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
This role will be crucial to The Specialist Works’ plans in the APAC region. As a senior, permanent The Specialist Works employee in Asia, they will act as the company’s figurehead in Asia.
- Identify key business opportunities with prospective clients
- Proactively form relationships with key players in the Asian gaming, ecommerce and app sectors
- Responsibility for the hitting of revenue targets.
- Be able to communicate the company’s services and unique selling points in a coherent and professional way
- Aid in the recruitment process as the Beijing office grows.
- Work with the UK-based Marketing Director to put together a China-facing marketing plan for the agency.
- Represent TSW at key industry events
- Be available to travel to the UK for training/company meetings at different times through the year.
- Travel within China and Asia as business dictates
Requirements and Qualifications
1. A proven hunter of new business.
2. Independent, self-motivated and entrepreneurial.
3. Organized and intelligent
4. Native Mandarin speaker.
5. Must have good written and spoken English
6. Strong communication skills
7. A knowledge of the Asian mobile and digital markets.
8. Open minded with a willingness to learn about new products and services.
9. At least 5 years of new business/sales experience.
10. Confident in presentation situations.
