Key Responsibilities:
1. Support Compliance VP to develop and embed world class effective Risk management plans, process and culture for China. Understand the high risk processes in the business and perform regular health check and gap analysis, and track action plans timely.
2. 2. Support Compliance VP to drive the holistic compliance and ethics program. Specifically, the role is expected to independently lead compliance projects such as Business Continuity Plan annual review and update; China regulatory risk review; Data protection; due diligence review, etc.
3. Successfully embed compliance agenda and strong policy awareness across the business by leveraging sponsorship of key stakeholders, providing timely communication, and developing the right tools for continual improvement of compliance. This includes but is not limited to, maintenance of annual policy roll out plan, deliver trainings to full time employees, agencies, vendors, and dealers, etc.
4. Proactively improve the level of corporate governance in China by doing on site reviews, facilitating deep dives, and sharing of learning and best practice.
5. Responsible for ensuring the Compliance and Ethics website is kept up to date and relevant, in addition to developing the Compliance and Ethics newsletter.
6. Maintain the Gifts and Entertainment register and physical custody of the gifts received. Perform monthly monitoring of the G&E register.
7. Main contact point during audit fieldwork.

Skills, experience and qualifications required:

1. Professional qualification – Bachelor or above. CIA, CPA / ACCA, with legal qualification preferred.
2. 8+ years working experience in relevant (risk management/compliance/internal control/internal audit) areas.
3. Risk management techniques, within a line role in an operating company or as a specialist.
4. Strong knowledge and experience as in house compliance.
5. Knowledge and experience in internal control and or internal audit.
6. Information system user.
7. Experience in multicultural / multilingual environments.
8. Communication skills in both Chinese and English.
9. Analytical skills.
10. MS Office Skills.
