position: project manager

to cope with our rapid expansion of business, we are looking for talented professionals to join our creative design team and we currently have an opening for senior designer. you will have the opportunity to work on various creative projects, such as shopping malls, corporate, - and hospitality projects. you should have a good understanding of design, and the ability to generate new solutions and interpretations. you also should have excellent communication and project planning skills, being highly self-directed and able to multi-task; prioritize multiple projects/initiative in a deadline-driven environment and be fluent in English and Mandarin.

responsibilities

-reports to the design director and/or managing director
-contribute to AMC’s vision by enabling clear communication among team members, LDI, PM companies and clients in English and Mandarin.
-promote professional relationships internally and externally.
-serve as a point of contact for clients and vendors.
-prepare and review project memos, correspondence, contracts and schedules for professional services; communicate daily with team in English and Mandarin.
-conduct important client communications and video-conferencing. Record minutes of these meetings and document action items.
-work with internal staff to implement, update and manage in Project software, project staffing and resource planning.
-maintain and update project data (in various media including hard copy project files, network drives etc.) in a timely manner to ensure accurate reporting of earnings and accurate billings.
-manage and coordinate multiple schedules, both individual and project specific.
-esponsible for the execution of all phases of a project (project type and cost limits to be defined and agreed with client) from initial establishment of requirements to final handover to the Client (preliminary design, concept design, detail design, construction documents, construction, testing & commissioning, completion etc.) with satisfactory results in safety, timing, quality and cost. the role provides coordinating thought and leadership to encourage maximum contributions of all participants in the projects and focuses on producing maximum value results.

requirements

-diploma or Certificate Holder in Civil engineering, architecture, interior design and related disciplines
-5-8 years experience in local building construction industry and interior design projects
-bilingual in English and Mandarin and verbal and written proficiency required; strong proofreading skills in English and Mandarin
-solid knowledge in local regulations and procedures of building, planning and submissions
-practical experience in producing interior design details & construction drawings
-proficiency in Auto-Cad, Excel, Project and Word
-effective in team playing and interpersonal skills
-diligent and passionate at work, detail oriented and organized, independent and responsible
-strong presentation and communication skills
-site management experience is a must
-willing to travel
-available immediately or TBC, salary according to personal ability through interview
