Position：Software Development Manager

Coupang is actively seeking self-motivated, highly creative and intellectually curious Software Engineers who are passionate about coding to join our team! You must be eager and able to learn new technologies, have an excellent work ethic, positive attitude, and are fun to work with. You will participate in detailed technical design, development and implementation of large-scale reliable systems that impact the way Coupang does business. Working within an Agile environment, you will actively participate in story planning and daily scrum meetings, while providing input for architectural design decisions, and developing code to meet story acceptance criteria. You will have the opportunity to continuously develop technical knowledge and skills on multiple platforms, and educate team members on the capabilities and constraints of technologies. You will be an integral part in advancing the culture of technical excellence within Coupang, and creating experiences to delight millions of customers!

Responsibilities:

? Own Customer facing applications end to end, work with business/product to identify the requirements
? Drive architecture and system design, scalability, deployment, operations aspects
? Work with business and product on priorities and product requirements
? Lead large team (~10) in product design, architecture, quality and delivery using Agile methodologies
? Takes complete accountability from inception till post-production support for the products owned.
? Technology evangelist for the team and innovates new ways of making things better.
? Hire and develop a high performing team

Requirements:
? 7-10 years of experience in leading engineering teams building e-commerce applications and accountable for product architecture, design and end-to-end delivery to the customer.
? 5+ years of experience in hiring and managing a high performing multiple functional team
? Strong technical knowledge in e-Commerce applications both front end and back end. Java, J2EE, SOA, Java-script, HTML, node applications, responsive design, mobile experience.
? Strong technical knowledge about evolving technologies in Front end applications.
? Strong understanding of scalable distributed systems design using SOA
? Strong directions in scalability, deployment architecture and optimization end-to-end
? Strong ability to manage multiple projects & partner relationships - work prioritization, planning and task delegation
? Strong ownership, attention to details, result-oriented, and a business curiosity with strategic viewpoint.
? Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically from developing strategic plans, working with large amount of data, to design metrics to test hypotheses, develop insights, and quantify results. Integrate strong and clear analysis and business rationale into sound decision making
? Passionate about people and innovation
? Endless drive to make things happen, drive ambiguity to clarity
? Good project coordination skills, high team spirit, positive can-do attitude, can handle tight deadlines
? Agile methodologies expertise
? Can easily work with product and business on product initiatives, prioritization, planning and execution.
