IHS is seeking a qualified and highly motivated analyst to support its flat panel display and materials research practice of reports, consulting and conferences. The category researches LCD, AMOLED and emerging display manufacturing processes, equipment, materials and related topics. Coverage will include technology analysis, tracking of production capacity, supply/demand, manufacturing costs and price assessments as well as market forecasts.

Overall Responsibilities

The role of the analyst is to design reports, ensure that the proper data is collected and write or review the analytical portion of each report. The analyst will work with colleagues in China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Europe and the U.S. The analyst also supports consulting assignments and other business activities such as conferences. Consulting assignments vary from manipulating IHS’ databases to meet the needs of the client to conducting full fledged market planning for new products, competitive analysis and due diligence. Conference responsibilities typically include presenting at IHS or industry conferences several times per year.

Specific Responsibilities
?Develop and maintain a network of FPD industry contacts to interview, survey and exchange information with.
?Quarterly report research ？Support FPD capacity data bases research and maintenance
？Support publication of the Quarterly FPD Supply/Demand and Capital Spending Report
？Support the FPD materials/cost/AMOLED quarterly reports with relevant manufacturing data and research

?Annual report research ？Contribute articles, blogs and press releases to appropriate publications
？Support annual report or service research

?Consulting ？Contribute to consulting projects as opportunities become available


Qualifications
?Candidate should have at least 1-2 years direct experience working at a FPD panel, equipment or materials maker or have a graduate degree in a related field.
?Candidate should have a thorough understanding of how FPDs are manufactured.
?Excellent language/communication skills are required ？Business level English ？Daily email in very international company required

？High level of reading, writing, spoken English ？Ability to create reports and presentations in English preferred

？Business level spoken Korean, Chinese or Japanese helpful

?Candidate should have the ability to summarize, analyze and explain difficult technical material in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
?Candidate should be self-motivated, able to work independently and to manage your own time and have a proactive approach to your work.
?Education: Bachelor’s degree in science or social science required, higher education degree helpful.
