Role Summary/Purpose
This position will work with GE Energy China channel team to provide channel management focus for an assigned channel portfolio. Build and develop relationships with channel reps to drive growth, identify, recruit, enable channels to sell and evaluate to enhance channel effectiveness. This position also provides day-to-day transactional support and is the focal point to MCS channel.
Essential Responsibilities
Financial • Own, deliver financial performance for channel portfolio • Create channel specific business plans, set G&Os Effectiveness • Identify potential channels, recruit, qualify and facilitate thru appointment process including gaining necessary approvals/P&L support • On-board channels per checklist and coordinate with respective P&Ls • Train distributor reps & coordinate with P&L product certification programs • Apply methodology to evaluate channel effectiveness • Share leads, manage opportunities and pipeline • Embrace and implement channel management best practices Compliance • Create a culture of highest integrity and compliance within channels. • Enforce global compliance standards, collaborate with GE Energy China Channel Compliance Manager to perform due diligence activities Leadership • Develop and manage relationships with channels and sales team (end user) • Manage relationships on day-to-day basis and provide transactional support • Introduce MCS programs and commitments • Schedule joint sales calls with channels & respective GE commercial teams
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor degree or above • At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in channel management and/or sales or marketing • Successful experience in multi-stakeholder environment • High ethics and integrity • Fluent English and Chinese speaking Work Traits • Strong contracts, legal, commercial & negotiation skills • Customer focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to internal and external customer needs • Ability to build rapport, energize and influence people • Proven coordination and influencing skills to set and drive an agenda with third parties • Analytical and quick study • Self-motivated, pro-active, persistent and results oriented
Desired Characteristics
• Familiar with sales, marketing, and or commercial. • Experience in managing sales channels of multiple products in flow business in Energy/Industrial segments • Direct and/ or indirect leadership experience • MBA or equivalent ability to analyze business models
