Headquartered in USA, our client is one of the world's largest specialty retailers with most recognized apparel brand in the world. Our client will launch its' China business soon. To cope with the fast growing steps, on behalf of our client, Collars Consultants is looking for qualified candidates with high motivation to join the winning team:
Position: Stores Business Analyst
Report to: China IT Director
Location: Shanghai
GENERAL SUMMARY:
l The role of the Stores Business Analyst is to act as a liaison between the US IT technical teams and the business community in the delivery and support of system and process solutions for stores.
l Provide support and define business processes, document business requirements and contribute to functional design, testing, and training documentation.
l Contribute to the implementation of systems and process changes.
l Partners with business teams, particularly Store Operations, to reactively support resolution of issues and proactively identify opportunities for improved efficiencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
l Partners with business teams to assess and prioritise business needs based on a comprehensive understanding of store business processes
l Works with the business teams to proactively identify opportunities for improved operational efficiencies
l Partners with US IT teams to understand potential technical solves
l Partners with store business teams to ensure IT objectives and strategies are communicated on a regular basis
l Analyses requirements, processes and procedures within the stores area
l Prioritizes requests /support needs with the business partners based on business benefit
l Gathers and documents requirements
l Supports creation of new processes and data requirements for support and projects time permitting
l Liaises with technical resources to confirm design and development satisfy business requirements
l Participates in testing, training and implementation of system solutions
l Provides application support to business functions and liaises with IT Helpdesk and technical teams, support vendors and US application teams as appropriate to resolve application issues, communicate changes/impacts and implement upgrades/enhancements
l Provides high level of customer service and communication specifically to Stores, Operations and Field Management groups
l Manages set up and maintenance of store test lab to ensure sufficient current hardware and appropriate software for all testing needs
l Provides 2nd level Production support for store systems and 1st Level support as needed
l Liaises with IT Helpdesk and technical teams, vendors and US application teams as appropriate to resolve application issues
l Partners with the business in the creation and delivery of training for the implementation of system solutions to the stores and IT support groups if required
l Produces support documentation for IT and vendor support groups
l Provides in-store support for new store openings and implementations
l May be involved in corporate projects as determined by business priorities, Store & Corporate Systems resources and the individual?s development requirements
l Contributes to projects, time permitting, including requirements gathering, evaluation of solutions, facilitation of meetings, planning and provides follow-up to ensure task completion in a timely manner
l Conducts projects in accordance with Gap?s Project Management office (PMO) methodologies
l Participates in production of Envisioning, Scoping and Business Proposal documentation to initiate store projects
l Analyzes as-is process maps to gain a full understanding of business processes
l Conducts requirements walkthroughs with business partners and technical teams to ensure accuracy and completeness
l Creates process maps, evaluates the solution and supports the creation of use cases and design documents to meet the business requirements
l Participates in testing, developing test strategy, plan and scripts as needed
l Participates in system acceptance validation and verification with the IT project team
l Co-ordinates User Acceptance Testing with business teams and obtains sign off
l Works with the business team, support and project team to develop and implement the change management, training and deployment plans
l Contribute to post implementation reviews and communicate outcomes
REQUIREMENTS:
l Bachelors degree from a fulltime university
l 3-5 years IT experience gained in a large multiple outlet retail organization (retail preferred)
l Experience of managing an IT project
l Experience of delivering Production support
l Thorough knowledge of retail operating procedures and systems preferably within a similar retail chain - preferably with strong Point of Sale system experience
l Good understanding of the project lifecycle
l Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
l Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
l Strong attention to detail with emphasis on both quality and speed
l Ability to prioritize work effectively and handle multiple competing demands
l Awareness of challenges /improvements in industry
l Ability to influence
