Position Description
To cope with the fast growing steps, on behalf of our client, Collars Consultants is looking for qualified candidates with high motivation to join the winning team:
Position: Production & Assembly Manager
Location: Shanghai
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the production operation including mechanical assembly, electrical assembly and a painting cell operation. Number of assembly workers to supervise: around 25 people..
Establish, implement and maintain proper methods of production for the company product line.
Optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity and define productivity standards.
Maintain the quality standards for the assembly functions and quality records for all the equipment produced
Define priorities / work schedules for equipment assembly based on the company orders received.
Control workers work efficiency and on time completion of work assignment.
Responsible to provide reporting on assembly time, work efficiency and regulate properly the Over-Time of workers when necessary.
Monthly reporting to for management control.
Coordination with the other manufacturing functions to assure a proper workflow and on schedule completion of the company makes to order products.
Initiate programs to lead to improvement in delivery and overall production efficiency.
REQUIREMENT
Mechanical engineering background specifically related to machinery building and assembly, both mechanical and electrical, for capital equipment and customized products.
Experience in production involving coordination with other departments such as purchasing, warehouse/stock, and engineering as well as the necessary people management skills to control a large group of assembly workers.
Minimum 5 years experience in management position for production/assembly of machinery or capital goods.
Experience with ERP systems for production management and ISO 9000 Quality systems.
Experience in production management systems such as 5S, Kanban, Lean manufacturing.
Good knowledge of English language
Mechanical engineering or Production engineering degree
