Responsibilities:

？   The Marine Sales Engineer for Asia would be responsible for developing relationships with technically-focused marine equipment providers and for the promotion and sales of the Marine Scrubber to ship owners, fleet management companies and shipyards. Key locations to cover include Japan, China, Korea and Singapore. Willingness to travel to customers, partners, vendors and conferences as requested by the business is required.
？   The Position requires management of requested technical developments and technical partnerships with continuous feedback and participation from USA office to assist with ongoing product development. This will require close coordination with the Process Engineering, Engineering, and Pre-Contract groups. The position also requires management of the entire Marine Scrubber sales process in the indicated region, from lead generation to technical proposal follow up to customer visits to closing. Strong candidate will demonstrate ability to gather critical information related to customer needs and preferences and translate them into a professional offering. Candidate will work closely with clients throughout the sales process and represent at various trade shows in the countries listed above. The role also requires close coordination and management of regional sales representatives (agents). Candidate will work with marketing and engineering departments to develop sales tools and presentations.
？   The role would be home-based with support from the relevant offices or offices- dependent on candidate location and/or preference. Ability to work and communicate collaboratively and flexibly with a global team is required.
 
 
Qualifications:

A)   Experience
？   5 year minimum experience in marine or offshore industry in either technical or sales roles. Experience in marine engines/marine engine equipment or onboard water treatment systems strongly preferred. Direct sales experience preferred.
？   Preferred candidate would have marine contacts with ship builders, ship owners/operators, yards, engine makers, consultants, etc. in relevant locations. Proven, flexible, energetic self-starter with interest in product development and an entrepreneurial mentality. This is a relatively new business with high growth potential.
？   Proven success that relates to the introduction of a new technology to an industry is a plus.
？   As a remote employee, the ideal candidate will be able to successfully work independently and stay in regular communications with global team.
？   Candidate must be highly organized and highly motivated

B) Educational level
？   4 Year college degree in naval architecture or marine, mechanical, or environmental engineering required.
？   Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products; Familiarity with Salesforce and Sharepoint preferred.

C) Communication Skills
？   Candidate must be fluent in English. Native level fluency in oral and written English strongly preferred. Fluency in Chinese, Korean and/or Japanese highly regarded.
？   Excellent public speaking/presentation skills required. Candidate should have skill in making presentations at events to sizable audiences as well as directly to clients.

D) Travel
？   Candidate must be able to travel up to 70% of the time, depending on need. Most travel is within Asia. Two trips per year to USA offices required. Additional but limited travel outside of Asia may also be required.
？   Preferred location is China or Korea with reasonable access to potential marine clients throughout Asia. Ideally located in large seaport city with an international airport.
