Fundamental Components & Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
? Design and perform in depth analysis of healthcare cost and utilization data to identify trends and drivers of inefficiency
? Extract and process data from various sources and databases
? Write SQL/SAS code to extract, manipulate, and analyze data
? Evaluate and interpret findings
? Synthesize data/information and create innovative and efficient reports, programs and databases to advise business partners and support business needs
? Assist with the development of strategy and tactics for data analytic application
? Summarize results in clear and succinct way for senior level managers

Background/Experience Desired:
? Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Computer Science
? more years of experience with data extraction, manipulation, analyzing and reporting data
? 1 or more years of experience working in health care industry
? 1 or more years of experience writing SQL or SAS code
? Experience with MS Excel and MS Access
? Experience with planning and designing analytic activities, assessing and solving complex problems
? Excellent oral and written communications skills with communicating complex data analytics

Business Specific Criteria Skills (preferred):
? Experience with Provider Profiling
? Experience with Pay for Performance, Fee for Service, Global Budget, Capitation
? Experience of groupers (Episode/DRG/Risk), risk adjustment, and alternate payment models
? Experience with developing data access tools with Visual Basic
