The Asia Time Zone (TZ) Industry & Global Accounts team sets the overall EPG Global Accounts strategy and execution plans for the Asia Region (APAC, India, Greater China and Japan), cascades these strategies and plans to the individual Subsidiaries in the Area and supports execution at the Subsidiary level.

Why does the role exist? The TS - Dynamics (Global Accounts) role provides proof of Microsoft value to customers and a technical contribution to revenue goals in one or more Microsoft solutions, with a specific focus on CRM

How does the role add value? The TS - Dynamics (Global Accounts) adds value to Microsoft by proving both the technical and business value of Microsoft Dynamics solutions to customers in Global Accounts. The TS - Dynamics (Global Accounts) adds value to customers and partners by providing technology and business solutions credibility and expertise, and by continuously demonstrating the business value of investments in Microsoft Dynamics solutions from a technical aspect.

How is role unique from other roles?
1. Executing world-class technical engagements which focus on the business value of Microsoft Dynamics solutions, with particular emphasis on the competitive value of these solutions.
2. Engaging at deep technical levels within assigned Microsoft Dynamics opportunities and being able to translate how technology solves business problems.
3. Being the primary technology contact working across Asia on the most strategic engagements.

What are key initiatives and challenges facing this role over the next six months to three years?
1. Focusing on intense competitive situations with SF.com, Oracle, SAP, Epicor and Local/Regional competitors.
2. Possessing 300 level technical knowledge of the Microsoft stack of technologies.
3. Possess 400 level technical knowledge of the selected MS Dynamics product.
4. Possess 300 level industry knowledge of your dedicated industry/vertical.
5. Maintaining knowledge of and expertise in Microsoft Dynamics solutions (including new releases and feature sets), competitive solutions, partner solutions and other Microsoft technologies.
6. Contributing to a shift within Microsoft’s field sales organizations, from focusing on product feature and function sets to focusing on selling solutions that address specific customer business pains.

Qualification
- 5 - 8 years of related experience;
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S./B.A.) is required; Master’s Degree and MBA is preferred;
- Field of Study (if applicable): Business Administration, Computer Science, Marketing

Professional Training and Certification
Professional training/certification in:
- MC-DBA, MCSE and/or MCSD are beneficial
- Competitor Certifications
- Communication skills, with a particular focus on adjusting the topic and technical sophistication to the audience
- Business skills (e.g., Executive Conversation training)
- Sales and/or Opportunity Management type training (Examples: Miller Hyman, Spin, Michael Bosworth, Holden, Krauthammer, etc.)
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Subject Matter Expertise
- 100 to 200 Level knowledge in the main Line of Business or functional applications used in targeted industries (e.g., claims processing in insurance industry and inventory management for distribution companies; HR and payroll systems, etc.)
- 100 to 200 Level knowledge in Infrastructure management techniques and integration with business application solutions
- 100 Level knowledge of the tools and resources used by customers and their Lines of Business (e.g., financial metrics and statements, industry and analyst reports, executive dashboards, etc.)
Industry
- 100 to 200 Level knowledge of the specific industry drivers, challenges and opportunities faced by customers in the subsidiary
Microsoft Products
- 400 Level knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics solutions (ERP and/or CRM))
- 200 Level knowledge of SQL Replication, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, Integration Services, Clustering
- 200 Level knowledge in other Microsoft products, such as SQL Server, Analysis Services, Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence
- 100 Level knowledge in other Microsoft products, such as Exchange, MMS, ISA, BizTalk, and EAI
Competitor/Partner Products
- 200 to 300 Level knowledge of ERP and CRM solutions provided by Oracle and SAP and by Local/Regional competitors
- 200 to 300 Level knowledge of the business value of partner solutions, their competitive value propositions and their implementation models, including Local/Regional partners
Abilities
- Strong sales aptitude with the ability to lead in-depth technology discussions, articulating the business value of a technology solution.
- Experience in an environment where customer contacts and knowledge are leveraged to listen proactively for up-sell/cross-sell opportunities.
- Deep technical skills with the ability to translate the feature and function set into customer solutions and win against the competition.
- Ability to work proactively within assigned opportunities to drive opportunities to close, with an understanding of the implications of cost of sale.
- Ability to develop strong, strategic partners engaged in immediate and long-term opportunities and committed to Microsoft Dynamics solutions.
- Is a resourceful problem-solver, leveraging internal and partner resources in assigned opportunities where and when needed to do what’s right for the customer.
