Are you ready to take on the challenge of owning e2e responsibility and part of a team to delivering a new product for Microsoft?

The Commerce Platform team is responsible for powering online billing and marketplace initiatives for many core and strategic services (including Bing, XBox Live, Windows Marketplace, Windows Phone Marketplace, Azure, O365, Office Live, etc…), processing over $4 Billion USD, 170 Million transactions, and 20+ Million users world-wide (in 2011) and rapidly growing in 2012.

The Commerce Platform uses cutting edge technologies in both frontend and backend. We support a broad collection of payment methods worldwide, including all types of credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB), Paypal, Amazon, mobile payments, prepaid cards, Microsoft Points, Bank Transfer, Direct Debit, etc. The team has locations in both Redmond and Shanghai, China.

You’ll be challenged with a new initiative within Commerce that will provide the potential of a new multi-billion dollar opportunity for the company. This is not a people-manager position. It has e2e responsibilities and will have high visibility across the company.

We are looking for a highly motivated, technical, detail-oriented, self-driven, experienced Program Manager with the following Responsibilities and Qualifications.

Responsibilities:
- Drive scenarios across multiple feature teams in both Shanghai and Redmond
- Drive, spec, and coordinate key features and components across multiple feature teams
- Contribute to overall platform vision and roadmap
- Manage feature team schedule and delivery
- Work and communicate effectively with our global development partners
- Be creative, innovative and always look for improvements


Qualifications:
- 8+ years of feature PM experience
- 5+ years in a leadership role
- At least two full product ship cycles experience with strong feature design skills
- Strong communication and cross-group collaboration
- Ability to give clear direction, build consensus within the team (Team player), forge strong relationships with partners, and influence other products across the company
- Strong Program Management competencies (communication, customer empathy, drive to closure, negotiation and conflict management, project management, and spec writing, etc…)
- Prior product development and in depth hands-on, working knowledge of .NET, C/C++/C#, SQL, and AJAX is a plus
- BA/BS degree or above in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Regular travel to Redmond is expected
