Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.



As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will develop quality standards, control methods and theories to be utilized during manufacturing, testing and inspection to access product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods.



Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. Preferred Qualifications: BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of software engineering or related experience.



Job Description

Using widely accepted quality assurance methodologies, you will collaborate with product managers, developers, customers, and quality assurance engineers to produce comprehensive automated test suites for new products, and refine existing test suites for established products. If your passion is quality assurance engineering, then you may be a compliment to this role. Your responsibilities will include:

? Complete ownership and responsibility for the maintenance and improvement of existing product test suites
? Design and development of new automated testware, and refinement of existing automated testware
? Debug and report newly encountered issues and work closely with other QA and Development teams towards resolution
? Champion established Development and Quality Assurance processes, driving further efficiencies

Skill Requirements:

Bachelor's of Science/Engineering degree in Computer Science/Application or related one
Programming skills with either Java, Python, C++, or another Object Oriented programming language
Experience of writing, executing, and debugging automated testware with opensource automation tools
4+ years experience in automation testing or Java programming
Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle
Thorough understanding of established quality assurance methodologies
Good knowledge in Oracle, DB2, or SQLServer database platforms
Good knowledge in Windows, UNIX, Linux, or zOS Mainframe operating systems
Intermediate or advanced fluency reading and writing SQL statements
Intermediate or advanced fluency with UNIX commands
Knowledge of webservers such as IBM WebSphere and Oracle WebLogic
Knowledge of writing and maintaining test requirements and test cases using Quality Center or similar product
Exceptional problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic environment
Ability to work well independently, and in a team environment
