Key Accountabilities:
Customer Service
To ensure the entire store team understands the need to deliver consistent, friendly and responsive service at all times
To ensure the Lane Crawford standards of service are consistently executed at all times, and every effort is made to exceed these standards
To understand and communicate the latest trends and fashion to customers and staff
To take every opportunity to exceed the customers expectations by being proactive and handling and resolving customer complaints efficiently and courteously
To monitor the after sales service activities such as gift wrapping, dispatch and delivery, concierge service
To monitor staff scheduling to ensure there are sufficient staff available in the retail selling area at all times to provide expected standards of service and to build the business on all day parts
To build relationship and actively communicate with the VIP customers of the store
To solicit feedback from customers and share this feedback with appropriate people
To work with the Store Manager to develop and execute action plan, based on Mystery Shopper Feedback, to improve the customer satisfaction for the store and increase their loyalty to Lane Crawford
Sales and Profit
To work with the DSM's on plans to achieve agreed sales and profit targets for each BU, identifying opportunities and taking corrective action to improve unsatisfactory performance
To monitor sales and performance of key in-store events and sales activities, working with the key people and teams to ensure success
To work with the Store Manager and be proactive in identifying selling and cost control opportunities that will help achieve, and exceed, the sales and profit targets
To work with the DSM's to ensure that stock on hand per department is sufficient to meet the sales targets and monitor the sell through
To establish a balanced range of merchandise suited to the customer profile of store and give feedback and make recommendations for changes and improvements to maximize sales potential and profit within the store
To be proactive in understanding the local competition, communicate competitor activities and take action to minimize loss of Lane Crawford market share
Communication
To run the daily all store communication briefing in the absence of the Store Manager, using it as an opportunity to build and reinforce team spirit through reward and recognition, and appropriate motivational activities
To communicate sales targets, and achievement against targets, to the sales teams on a daily basis
To ensure that all in store communication is up to date, to standard and relevant
To work with the DS's to ensure that all events and promotions are executed according to the brief and standards agreed with CMC/VM/CBO/MPS teams
To communicate regularly with direct reports to ensure that the store standards are upheld with regards to cleanliness, safety, security and overall ambience
Team Leadership
To demonstrate and reinforce the Lane Crawford Vision And Values at all times and provide the necessary leadership to gain commitment from store team
To communicate and reinforce the company goals and seek input into activities to drive sales and profitability in the store
To identify and execute ways to increase employee's loyalty, satisfaction and pride with the Lane Crawford experience
To know, enforce, and educate teams on all appropriate HR policies, labour laws, security and safety procedures
To provide on job coaching to ensure that Department Sales Managers/ADSM's are able to meet and exceed the standards and people management requirements of their role
To work with DSM's on day to day issues, provide guidance and coaching on how to improve performance
To identify and facilitate opportunities for additional training throughout the store
To monitor and review performance of DSM team with the Store Manager, identifying individuals who are ready for promotion or require performance improvement plans
To take appropriate corrective action with employees who fall below standard (in consultation with HR Department)
To work with each DSM to develop a BU Training Needs Analysis based on appraisal feedback. Work with Store Manager, L&D and HR to develop and deliver appropriate store and personal training activities
To identify and facilitate opportunities for additional training throughout the store
Requirement:
- Bachelor degree or above
- 6-8 years of store operation experience in management position in luxury retail industry
- Excellent leadership and coaching/training skills
- Track record of driving sales and developing people
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese
