Key Accountabilities:



PR & Communications

- External Communications:

To lead a strategic China press and communications plan that promotes the Lane Crawford brand, product offering, services and expert advise that delivers key brand messages
To oversee the bilingual content of all materials for external publication and communication produced for Lane Crawford
To oversee, with the e-commerce team, the development and maintenance of the company website and online communication to customers and vendors and bilingual content


- Relationship Management:

To build and develop relationships with the China press and media in order to strengthen relationships, both in on and offline communication channels, inclusive of bloggers, celebrities and influencers
To identify appropriate celebrity endorsements and develop a strategic plan for them to become Lane Crawford brand ambassadors and develop the relationships in line with the brand image
Lead the strategic annual plan for China press and communications to support CBO
To lead the marketing and PR teams to deliver an integrated and holistic marketing, communications and events and programs to support major image building initiatives
To develop strategies for sponsorship of appropriate events, including charity and fund raising events, collaborations and image-enhancing joint promotions. To develop key partnerships and relationships to position Lane Crawford in China
To lead a strategic social media strategy and plan, to support brand communications and customer engagement
To support departments for internal communications and key messages.


- Content Management:

To oversee bilingual content produced in house
To seek and publicize stories that will continually drive media lineage


Marketing

- Brand Image

To lead a strategic China marketing plan that promotes the Lane Crawford brand, support sales and communicates our product offering and services in line with the brand image
To continuously position the Lane Crawford brand with effective online and offline media campaigns, working closely with the ecommerce marketing team
To work closely with GMM of each business unit to ensure that the marketing programmes are in line with the product offering and brand image
To work across the CMC departments and CRM to create a calendar of special, regular and themed programs and events to build the brand image that a promotes customer experience
To ensure all communications and programs follow the brand guidelines



- Marketing Strategy and Plan

To develop a strategic multichannel marketing and communication plan that contributes to achieving the company business objectives in China
To lead strategic and tactical multichannel marketing activities which deliver the marketing strategy and include objectives, to meet KPIs
To build and leverage relationships with key alliance and business partners of Lane Crawford
To develop with the e-commerce and CRM teams, an online communications plan to meet objectives and include appropriate measurement tools and reports
To lead strategic marketing planning including CRM to ensure alignment that recruits and retains our customers
Lead market research for new business development and projects to support new business opportunities
Lead a long-term strategic partnership relationship to increase market share and customer growth


Customer Relationship

To strategically develop and plan customer centric initiatives relating to relationship management, ensuring excellence in execution

- Relationship Management

To visit stores regularly to seek feedback on current services and promotions from operations team and customers
To use customer and staff feedback to identify new needs and initiatives
To develop a cohesive relationship with other departments in Lane Crawford
To communicate and celebrate successes with regards to excellent customer service throughout the organization


Financial Management

To be accountable for the financial performance vs. budget of the PR and Marketing Department
To review costs and identify cost saving/value added opportunities for PR and Marketing activities
To put in place measurement tools and KPI's to evaluate the ROI on PR and Marketing activities
To provide guidance on internal control procedures ensuring all activities are in line with company and legal compliance guidelines
To be responsible for drafting the annual PR and Marketing budgets and plan



Team Leadership

To demonstrate and reinforce the Lane Crawford Vision and Values at all times and provide the necessary leadership to gain commitment from the Marketing and PR teams
To identify and execute ways to increase team member's loyalty, satisfaction and pride with the Lane Crawford experience
To reinforce the company message to the team and reinforce the need to drive profitability at Lane Crawford through targeted and innovative marketing and communication programs
To provide on the job coaching to ensure that the Marketing and PR teams are able to meet and exceed the requirements of their role
To identify and facilitate opportunities for additional training for the team
To monitor and review performance of team with the VP of CMC, identifying individuals who are ready for promotion or require performance improvement plans
To take appropriate corrective action with team members who fall below standard (in consultation with HR Department)
To complete and present performance appraisals based on defined goals and objectives for their employees in a timely manner
To recognize, reward and celebrate success with the team, stores and vendors


Requirements:

At least 8 years related experience - within China
Proficient in both English and Mandarin - can speak and read and write * ( this is a must)
Bachelor Degree or above
Experienced in multichannel marketing, PR and communications *( this is a must)
Fulfilled and lead key large events and coordination
Experienced in strategic planning
Able to present and communicate - to lead a team and translate key messages, and experienced in handling internal and external communications
Experienced in social media - able to develop strategic plans
Experienced within retail, luxury fashion industry
Established network and contacts - in media, celebrities, partners in China *( this is a must)
Previously managed teams with min 2 direct reports
Good understanding of the market, competitors and retail
