Main Purpose

? Develop, direct and control the sales business strategies and activities of the organisation to achieve

evenues, sales and profit targets.


Key Outputs

? Direct the activities of sales for the achievement of short and long-term business objectives, increased profit and market share.

? Manage the preparation of the budgets, reports and forecasts and ensure they are presented in a timely manner to the General Manager.

? Direct sales activities by determining product mix, geographical sales areas and customer service standards.

? Control and monitor sales methods, key customer strategies and arrangements by recommending prices and credit arrangements.

? Monitor customer service, invoicing, payments and administration costs.

? Maintain necessary contact with major suppliers, key customers, industry associations and government representatives to achieve the objectives of the division.

? Lead and develop team including setting and regular review of performance objectives.

? Ensure all the activities of the sales and marketing team comply with relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards.

? Other duties and special projects as directed by the General Manager



Experience/Qualifications

? Business degree (Business, Marketing or Commerce)

? Minimum 10-15 years sales/marketing experience in an FMCG company - preference for wine/liquor industry experience and a minimum 7 years people management experience

? Demonstrated experience in leading teams and developing staff

? Strong commercial acumen



Physical Requirements (e.g. manual handling, exposure to noise etc)

? Office Based Duties

? Regular travel
