The team has not only built up its strengths and expanded its scope, but also set a shared goal, broadened its vision, and equipped with richer resources that gives the team the confidence to scale new heights.
STCA is now focusing on the following areas: the continuous exploration of Bing search technology; the technical innovation of online advertisement services; the development of the MSN social platform; the development of mobile search applications and Speech technology. Today, STCA has hundreds of excellent employees and is the largest R&D team of the Microsoft Online Service Division outside the United States.

The Bing team is looking for an experienced PM to help build the next generation search index serving platform. Search index serving platform is the foundation of search quality and cost. Innovation in search index serving platform will put Bing in the leading position. If you love deep technical problems, a dynamic, high-impact space and want to make a difference then we want to hear from you. We have a rock-solid development team and need a strong PM to help drive our efforts.
Responsibilities:
This position involves working with the research and development teams as a project leader to drive the product vision, ideation, concept validation, prototyping and productization of the next generation of index serving platform. You will need to understand the dynamics of the system and derive the detail metrics and goals of each component in the system. You need to constantly monitor the progress of the project and make sure it is on the right course and need to make trade-off decisions along with the your project partners if necessary.
The project will involve co-working with the remote partner teams with working hour difference. You will need to organize the regular meetings among relevant team members and create reports so that the relevant teams are on sync.
Qualifications:
You should have the following:
- Strong technical knowledge on computer system and search engine architecture
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technology and go deep in focus areas to find high impact opportunities
- Great attention to detail and a love for data, impact, quality and organizational effectiveness
- Highly innovative and creative with solid critical thinking
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a large number of partners and customers and translate product vision to development requirements and roadmap
- Highly organized and good at leading meetings
- Development background in server hardware/software is a plus
- 6 years’ experience in delivering large scale software solutions.
- 5+ years PM experience in the software product cycle
- 3+ years industry experience in Search Technology
- A Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Fluent English
