We are currently looking to recruit an Operations Account Manager to manage our relationship, satisfaction, and business results with a number of Microsoft Dynamics Partners and Microsoft Subsidiaries in the Japan region.

Responsibilities


- The Operations Account Manager (OAM), interfaces with Microsoft's internal and external licensing and business group stakeholders and drives strategies to proactively address and simplify complex licensing issues, communicate program changes, and work to minimize sale and satisfaction related Operational issues. The portfolio extends across verticals and other business groups and develops new business models.


- The Operations Account Manager is accountable for excellence in overall operational performance for their Managed Partner base and identification and creation of solutions to improve performance support the subsidiary in maximizing revenue, and driving change on a global level when appropriate.


Key Responsibilities of this position include:


- Subsidiary Relationship: Lead for Country/Region as appropriate. Participate in formal ROBs within the subsidiary LT representing both Operations and the Partner. This position will play a significant role in defining the rules of engagement with subsidiaries, and channel partners for the defined scope of responsibility. This role will serve as an operations consultant, a thought leader, and drive a thorough understanding of the lines of business and portfolio it supports. This role will also enable sales and revenue growth through new operational business models.


- Relationship Management: Own Partner relationship and drive Conditions of Satisfaction and Partner Business plans with both the subsidiary and within Operations.


- Business Insight: Accountable to key metrics supporting scorecard goals and commitments. Drive shared commitments with subsidiary & cross organizational teams to deliver business results. Participate in Sales cycle and influence operational goals and planning through strategic insight and action.


- Market Development/Growth: As a trusted advisor, develop a tool set to actively support field sales teams in driving revenue. Identify growth areas where best practice sharing from other regions and proactively eliminating non-value add activities from the sales teams.


- Business Alignment: provide operational guidance through PRISM and WWSMM process to ensure new target areas are proactively adopted in the operations planning cycle and developed on supporting scorecards

Essential Requirements


- Minimum 6-7 years demonstrated work experience in an account management, customer service, business operations, licensing, supply chain management or logistics.

- BA/BS/B.Com or equivalent required.

- Knowledge of the Microsoft product line (include ERP, CRM and volume licensing products/programs) and the ability to leverage these products to get the job done.

- Demonstrated excellence in customer service and account management.

- General knowledge of international software and online business and a high degree of cultural awareness and sensitivity required.

- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills

- Ability to develop and implement creative solutions and influence others in their adoption.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation experience and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of business

- Must be highly self-motivated and able to work effectively in a remote location away from core business team.

- Willingness to travel

- Excellent command of English.

- A passion for technology and willingness to evangelize new tools.

- Deliver Channel Readiness materials to partners and drive awareness of same with subsidiary contacts

- Deep understanding of partner business models and ability to drive behavior to support revenue goals

- Deep awareness of process design and optimization and skills to drive these


Desirable Requirements


- Fluency in one or more regionally supported languages

- Specific knowledge of the business activities within the assigned Channel Partner account(s) is helpful.

- Can work independently at remote locations.

- Partner /Customer engagement at a Pan Regional or Global level

- Broad awareness of compliance and regulation requirements to safeguard Microsoft’s interests.

- Project Management skills and ability to drive complex projects in region.

- Cost Saving Focus: drive costs out of the business

- Experience in growth, startup environment

- Ability to use benchmarking data and deliver contrasts/comparisons to subsidiary leaders to help build effective recommendations for critical business decisions
