Major Responsibilities

1. Supplier management

· Develop local supplier base to meet business requirement by working the complete process from RFI,RFP, RFQ, Sampling, Supplier qualification, material qualification, till supplier approval.

· Support QA to conduct supplier audit, and daily quality management.

· Manage suppliers to meet OTD, quality, cost requirement.

· Supplier relationship management for good service, quality, and on time delivery.

· Manage and negotiate the contract with suppliers

· Support localization activities for mechanical parts and electronics parts

2. Purchase Order management

· Work with supplier for purchasing activities to ensure on time delivery

· Work with global manufacturing sites and local manufacturing site to support production

3. Project management

· Work as project coordinator/leader in sourcing team for new product transfer, including to set-up and implementation of direct ordering plan and localization plan

· Support the new product development to meet both cost and delivery target

4. Cost reduction

· Achieve PPV saving by localization, year over year cost reduction, negotiation, bidding, value engineering/analysis, supplier process analysis, etc.

5. Internal/external communication

· Team work with internal department like QA, SQE, Planning, Engineering, Production, etc to support production and NPIs, transfers.

· Work with external like oversea site, supplier, lab, etc. for better support.

Qualifications/Requirement

· BS Technical Degree or above in Engineering.

· Have experience with optics, especially for the manufacturing process are preferred

· Minimum 5 years working experience in related area required, preferred to be mechanics

· Strong working experience with medical products and related manufacturing processes is plus.

· Strong background in interpretation of engineering drawings/ specifications and manufacturing process planning/evaluation.

· Good English and Chinese communication skills (written and verbal), analytical and problem solving skills.

· Willing to travel often to supplier site and work together with suppliers closely.

· Self-discipline, self-motivated, ability to work in cross-functional team environment.
