PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assume overall accountability for the efficient and profitable operation of said manufacturing unit and supporting functional area
• Maintain quality through all processes, react to quality issues, and respond with corrective actions.
• Assume overall responsibility of new products and their processes from product initiation through release to production.

• Regularly reviews and analyzes various types of manufacturing related reports and keeps senior management informed of significant activities and problems

• Prepares an annual budget and insuring that said operating area operates within established cost controls.
• Continually reviews market position SKU by SKU with product management and makes recommendations to improve such position such as NPD, SKU rationalization and process improvement.

• Through subordinates and upon approval, as necessary, establishes operating policies, procedures and practices for their manufacturing area; interprets and explains objectives, programs and policies.

• Continually reviewing and evaluating existing operating policies, procedures, systems, schedules, equipment, etc., and overseeing the implementation of modifications and improvements.

• Continually monitoring the performance of each function reporting to him/her and insuring the maintenance of normal operations.

• Utilizes lean concepts to direct process improvements, data analysis and regular project management.

• Insures strict compliance with corporate EH&S goals and compliance objectives,

• Insures that programs and procedures are adopted to guard against industrial accidents and insure the safety and well being of area employees

• Fully support and comply with all ISO Quality Systems and SFS objectives and projects

REQUIREMENTS:

§ BS in Engineering or manufacturing discipline

• Minimum 5 years of experience required in manufacturing environment
• Must apply judgment to plan and perform assigned tasks within known limits
• Constant alertness or activity
• Works with normal care to avoid serious injury to others
• Demonstrated ability/desire to learn new technologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to multitask.
• Fast learner, eager to participate in a team environment
• Strong technical skills (MS Office products, Database Programming, PLC etc.)
