Job Description
Title of Position
Project Management Officer
Job Level: Manager
Purpose (why the position exists)
An enabler for Maersk Line East China Cluster to continuously optimize the business system for the benefit of our customers, shareholders and employees;
Build up Lean Six Sigma capabilities and drive for mindset & behaviours transformation in Maersk Line East China Cluster;
Identify projects in key performance areas, manage project resources and coach on project execution in cluster level;
Take lead on project management and change management for strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities
Be a key person in charge of Process Management Office (PMO) in Maersk Line East China Cluster. Manage cluster project pipeline (including both global and cluster strategic projects) and project resources in cluster level - identify, prioritize and scope projects in key performance areas, manage project resources, coach and govern project execution;
Be the cluster ambassador and change agent for global/cluster cross-functional projects, ensure identified values are delivered;
In charge of Green & Black Belt development in cluster - identify and prioritize candidates and projects in cluster level;
Coach project leaders for capability development on Lean Six Sigma methodologies, Project Management & Change Management;
Build-up and manage the coach pool in cluster;
Engage project sponsors to drive for project delivery;
Improve cluster's maturity level of manage by project.
Knowledge and Skills Required
Essential:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business;
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or training from a similar program;
Good understanding on MAERSK Improvement Model or Six Sigma DMAIC Model;
Solid project management skills;
A minimum of 5 years' working experience and 2 years' proven track record of a similar job in multinational enterprises;
Logical and systemic thinking;
Strong presentation and coaching skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese & English;
Strong ability to influence others without formal Authority.
Preferred:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent;
Basic understanding and experience in shipping industry.
