Key Responsibilities
1. As a member of the China Executive Leadership Team, actively contribute to the formulation of the company-wide business strategy, and align sales strategy to overall company objectives.
2. Formulate and execute ambitious sales-plan – both yearly plan and longer term strategic plan, to secure continue double digit-growth.
3. Collaborate with the pricing team (locally and regionally) and operations to formulate creative and effective RFP proposals.
4. Support the sales-team in the actual sales pitches, as needed depending on the readiness less of sales personnel.
5. Track the sales plan, and provide period updates on the progress.
6. Work with the internal departments to identify solutions to meet new clients’ needs and manage clients expectation while successfully implementing new accounts.
7. Coach, motivate and develop the sales-team members to achieve the departmental and personal goals.
8. Support company marketing initiatives, such as China Business Travel Forum (CBTF) and China Business Travel Seminar (CBTS)
9. Join travel related industry at public events and forums
10. Analyze travel industry trends and assess on on-going basis market and prospect clients’ needs to support enhancement of the value proposition.
11. Ensure all the sales activities are conducted in full compliance with CITS American Express GBT compliance policies and procedures.
Skills and Competencies
1. Result oriented and customer focused.
2. Strong interpersonal, oral and written skills required conducting daily activities.
3. Able to produce clear, concise, accurate written communications, clearly conveying thoughts and ideas to peers, management and customers.
4. Strong influencing and collaborating skills and ability.
5. The ability to plan, manage and prioritize projects.
6. Excellent proven record of driving best in class and high performing sales teams – a growth mind-set
7. An exceptionally leader with a passion for developing people.
8. Strong sense of urgency.
9. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is a must.
Job requirement:
1. Bachelor degrees and above, MBA preferred
2. Minimum 8 years of direct corporate sales or account management of multinational accounts
3. Minimum 2 years sales director’s experience (Manager’s manager role)
4. Good understanding of the travel related industry. Candidate with Travel Management experience will be highly preferred.
5. Good understanding of the needs of various market segments (Multinationals, Large Market, State-Owned-Entities, etc.), purchasing cycles and processes, travel requirements.
