Responsible for:
? Formulating strategic direction and driving proactive actions to prevent latent unreliability events in LCD Panels used in products.
? Developing and implementing plans and processes that improve LCD Panel reliability.
? Characterizing product usage models and environments.
? Defining reliability requirements based on product use conditions and environments.
? Developing executable processes and procedures to design out LCD Panel reliability risks.
? Working with suppliers to proactively evaluate the reliability of LCD Panel construction and materials during the development stage.
? Identifying key risk areas and reliability test methods to assess and prevent LCD Panel issues.
? Developing enhanced acceleration techniques and analytical tools to assure the early identification of potential problems.
? Defining qualification test conditions and requirements to be performed by suppliers.
? Analyze reliability test data and make life predictions in product use conditions.
? Ensure ongoing reliability test methods in manufacturing are properly designed to prevent product issues.
? Identify important emerging technologies and lead the analysis of their impact.
? Propose proactive improvement metrics to monitor project effectiveness.
? Share knowledge and technical expertise through wide communication, teaching and mentoring.
Your Profile
Education
M.S. or Ph.D. degree in materials science and engineering, and a minimum of 6 plus years experience.
Experience and Knowledge
? Strong technical understanding of LCD Panel technologies, construction, materials, qualification methods, and manufacturing processes.
? Demonstrated strategic commodity reliability improvement experience.
? Experience driving failure analysis and root cause investigations.
? Experience working with LCD Panel suppliers.
? Experience in technical consulting.
