Purpose of the position:

The position of PE controller is accountable for the accounting operations of the organization, to include the elaboration, development and publication of periodic maintenance reports, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk and minimize the deviation between budget and cost. Sixty percent of the time, this role covers strategic functions in the financial Plant Engineering group.




Responsibility:

Prepare monthly KPI after the FS settlement, to ensure the maintenance cost is correctly booked and prevent overruns and provide appropriate analysis when an overrun occurs.
Maintain all the Capital Expenditure Records up to date in order to ensure that all the activities are executed per Plan.
Update the Capital and Small investment plans and reporting according to business line and business unit needs.
Ensure SAP work order system, purchasing functions and material management are in compliance with the financial and best practices per company standards to provide updated information to the Plant Engineers, controllers and other stakeholders in a timely manner for the best decision making process .


Requirements:
Accounting mid-level knowledge, understanding and familiarity of accounting principles and procedures per

country,regional and local regulations as well as Evonik standards. Medium to advance SAP skills and Microsoft Suite applications.

Organize internal meeting with different plant engineers for cost controlling in different plants
Work with Controllers in different business lines and business units within the PP umbrella to report, analyze and propose solutions with respect to maintenance plan versus actual spending and provide updated forecast.
Organize meeting with production and plant engineering teams for Capex budget planning, analysis of actual spent versus planned and yearly forecast

Provides information and financial support for decision making.
Gathers the information and prepares the maintenance budget planning and CapEx planning.
After analyzing financial data, the incumbent will provide factual information and proposals to plant engineers, managers and directors for them to make sound decisions based on financial analyses and factual information.
Supports the accurate financial data management and financial reporting that lead to strategic and tactical decisions for the Plant Engineering Department.
Incumbent is responsible for tracking maintenance cost and control of the budget by providing timely and accurate information for best decision making
Make sure all the investment projects are carried out correctly and under a cost control basis.
