Report to Chief Science Representative
Based in Beijing

Responsibilities:
? Collect & analyze the information on Chinese technological development
Collect information on technological activity of major Peers and NOCs in China.
Study the technological roadmap and scientific policy on key energy subjects in China
Read and summarize Chinese scientific publications including news, literature, patents, reports, proceedings, etc.
Prepare technological reports on some key energy subjects as required.
Attend key scientific events in the field of energy and petrochemicals.
? Support group R&D project development in China.
Map research labs and indentify representative Chinese research groups on key energy subject.
Coordinate and organize research tour of group R&D managers.
Manage the documentation of scientific projects, follow-up the research project progress.
? Build-up group scientific image and network in China.
Coordinate / organize Total China Scientific Forum
Coordinate / organize Total China Technological Seminar.
? Conduct any other tasks assigned by the Management


Requirements:
? Be fluent in Chinese and English;
? Proactive, imaginative, autonomous with good reporting skills;
? Be familiar with Chinese R & D organization, rules and practices;
? Several-years experience in foreign units;
? At least 5 years R&D experience, including some management of R&D programs, both in industry and public research;
? Open-minded, optimistic, bold, high team-working spirit.
