Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

* Ensures appropriate documentation (layout, spec, design assy/ stack-up / specification studies, Bill of Materials) * Interfaces with Project Engineer or Program Manager, DE, Testing, Sourcing, Quality & Manufacturing; also interfaces with component/ system vendors, Coordinates the activities performed by external resources related to the assigned job; handle supplier deviation and non conformity from manufacturing; * Ensures expected results in term of quality, execution time, and cost (within control) * The Design Engineer is responsible for 3D detailed design activities, for the overall scope of supply, requiring deep understanding of customer requirements and basic conceptual design drawings * He/She will perform all analysis and documentation needed for manufacture, buy from external suppliers, for all the assigned structure and equipment needed for the functionality of the assigned scope * The Design Engineer is Responsible for the technical development of part of a job (requisition) or part of a new project (NPI). She/He optimizes the design in terms of reliability, manageability and cost * Coordinates and controls the activities performed by external resources related to the assigned job * Ensures expected results in term of quality, execution time, cost, etc

Qualifications/Requirements

* Mechanical engineering degree (5 years) or equivalent, preferred Fluid System Engineering back ground* Fluent in English (must)* Strong technical skills* Above 4 years engineering experience of practical application * A Master degree in relevant technical background is preferred.* Project / Program management skills * Knowledge and understanding of communications environments and technologies, with specific focus on web-based media;*Ability to adjust, sort and distinguish priorities: a flexible approach to tasks;*Ability to both work as a member of a team and take ownership of an assignment through to completion;*Appetite to work with people from different departments, companies, and customer organizations (especially global and virtual teams) * Ability to work within a changing environment;*Experience in process-oriented job roles*Strong oral and written communication skills*Critical thinking and problem solving skills: mental agility in solving engineering challenges

Desired Characteristics

* Familiarity with O&G products, standards and requirements; * Knowledge in requirements engineering and analysis ;* Experience in system architecture and design and familiarity with systems engineering processes;* A good understanding of the development and operation of systems* Ability to work closely with customers in high-tempo environments;* Familiarity with instrumentations, P&ID and piping design;* Mechanical design experience with ANSYS, CAESAR or other equivalent FEA tool.* Unigraphics (UG) CAD experience or alternative experience on 3D CAD systems ;* Familiar with FMEA and RCA and Six Sigma certified.
