Project design and planning
? Kick off meeting - contribute to the internal project kick off with the team and external kick off meeting with clients
? Project work-plan - develop a detailed project work plan covering breakdown of project tasks, allocation of staff members and man-day/budget allocation
? Project data model sheet - develop the first draft of project data model sheet and define the research methodology
? Report template - draft report template to cover project deliverables with detailed guidance
? Develop and review questionnaire
Project research execution
? Secondary research - identify internal library and past project resources and conduct secondary research of external resources and extract useful information for the team
? Contact list - review target interview contact list developed by Research Analyst
? Call reports - review call reports to control research data accuracy and provide input
? Field research - conduct telephone interviews including important trial interviews, expert interviews and key section/segment interviews. Conduct face-to-face interviews with clients
? Research methodology - provide guidance/direction on research methodology to achieve satisfactory research results efficiently
Report writing and analysis
? Report writing - produce main body of draft reports and ensure reports are close to client ready for final review by Project Directors
? Profiles - review translated profiles to ensure consistency of meaning
? Overall assessment and executive summary - development of first draft of Overall Assessment and Executive Summary
Project progress and time management
? Weekly project progress monitoring - actively monitor project progress on a weekly basis to ensure tasks are completed as planned
? Control project overrun - control project overrun of personal allocated man-days and those of the project team. Actively provide solutions to control project overrun
Client management
? Report presentation - assist in report presentation including preparation of questions likely to be posed by clients
? Client interaction - interact with clients at local level. Attend client meetings for key milestones
People Management
? On-the-job coaching - identify training needs and provide on-the-job coaching for Project Managers and Research Analysts
? Staff performance - conduct probation reviews with new Research Analysts / Project Managers in your fixed team structure. Actively monitor and manage team’s performance, attendance, workload and efficiencies
Business Development
? Terms and conditions - develop Terms and Conditions to support proposal submission
? Interview estimation - conduct background research to estimate interview numbers for proposals
Company-wide initiative
? Orientation training - contribute to delivery of production related orientation training to new joiners
? Production training - contribute to delivery classroom training to production staff members on industry knowledge, analysis tools or other areas of expertise
? SOP development - contribute to development of production SOPs to standardize/streamline internal processes
The ideal candidate should have the following attributes:
? Three to six years of experience in a business consulting or market research environment
? Fluency in Chinese and English for communication with internal project team and clients
? Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills. Familiarity with statistical software and techniques a plus
? Familiarity with primary research methodologies, tools and techniques
? Ability to manage, mentor and motivate in a team environment
? Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently, frequently on tight timeframes and short turnaround times
? University degree; ideally in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences or equivalent technical or business field (e.g. MBA)
