Position Summary
To manage the supply chain system of Gorbel (Tianjin) Crane Company Ltd, containing multiple functions of sourcing, purchasing, inventory planning & logistics. Leads and develops the purchasing team to get qualified raw & consumable materials/services on time & in full, with aligned quality and especially in combination with lowest possible costs.
Responsibilities
? Guides the team to use IOM (Inventory of Management) output, leverages historic usage data, and follows with sales forecast to release purchase order, balances the goal of maintaining low inventories and providing adequate stocks to meet customer requirements
? Develops and drives material localization projects and alternative supplier sourcing for cost reduction purpose.
? Develops and maintains a continuously supplier evaluation on a regular basis
? Supports new product development projects, work with PD team, Quality Assurance Team to develop new sources of qualified material as well as alternative & back up suppliers.
? Coordinates with US IT to maintain and improve the system (IOM, PO Management, and Stock Jobs) continuously.
? Optimizes the existing sourcing and purchasing processes in order to achieve process excellence and shorten procurement lead time.
? Executes purchasing Maintenance, Repair & Operations equipment and services according to the approved application request.
? Conducts price negotiation, NDA (non-disclosure agreement), contract agreement and project/facility bidding for new and existing suppliers & service providers as well as outsourcing partners.
? Cooperates & coordinates with Gorbel USA’s supply chain team to get suitable cost effective materials within the global Gorbel network.
? Monitors the status of all open orders and ongoing deliveries and alarms management team if any risks for business.
? Frequently communicates with vendor for production plan in following months and new product phase-in/old product phase-out(e.g. G-force), as well as to communicate with sales team to help have inventory plan
? Import, Export and Compliance
- Selects and manages forwarders effectively from service, cost and security perspective
- Ensures fast and efficient import / export to meet targets committed to the customer
- Ensure no disruption due to data integrity in import / export process.
Experience and Educational requirements
? Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain, and 10+ years of related.
? Preferred related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Engineering/Technical degree.
? In-depth knowledge of procurement systems and business/customers, combining with technical understanding of component manufacturing process and functionality
? Experience leading people and working effectively across functions
? Effective project management, negotiation, contract management and interpersonal communication skills.
? High proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
? Experience in implementation of ERP system
