Major Duties Performed (Main Functions)
1.Under minimal supervision and acting on own initiative and direction, provides administrative support for one or more departments or administrative units.
2.As assigned, may research and compile information for routine and moderately complex reports and special assignments.
3.Analyzes problems, determines approach, compiles and analyzes data and prepares reports/recommendations for action by superior.
4.Contacts company personnel at all organizational levels to gather information and prepare reports.
5.Makes appointments, travel arrangements, meeting arrangements and coordinates activities between departments and outside parties.
6.Answers telephones, screens calls and forwards messages. Answers routine correspondence and routes mail to the appropriate persons.
7.Composes, prepares, edits and proofreads letters, reports and other correspondence.
8.May support one or more managers and/or staff in a department or may support multiple departments.
Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:
1.Diploma or equivalent degree and a minimum of one (1) to three (3) years administrative or secretarial experience, or equivalent combination of business school/secretarial training and job-related experience.
2. Broad knowledge of departmental and Company practices, policies and programs and product line.
3.Typically requires experience with word-processing and spreadsheets PC applications, preferably Microsoft, and may use databases, graphics and desktop publishing applications
