Report to: Sr. Finance Manager

Position Description:

The position is to cope with the rapid expansion of Merck in China.
This position plays an important role to ensure the accuracy of accounting, reporting and taxation in a fast growing industry. He or she should be very familiar with accounting principles, with strong sense of internal control and respect deadline.

SAP experience (FI and CO) is must.

Manufacture accounting experience could be preferred.

Major responsibilities:

1. Monitor all financial accounts according to PRC and group guideline, maintain and reconcile ledger accounts to keep a precise accounting record;
2. Responsible for up to date supervision and analysis of inventory status
3. Lead people to ensure prompt and accurate monthly and Year end closing within deadline, accomplish and submit financial reports and local statutory reports;
4. Be responsible for manufactory cost analysis and variance follow up;
5. Be responsible for Fixed assets monitor and project follow up;
6. Global insurance coordination;
7. To act as liaison with auditors, tax agents, banks and all government bodies on all finance and tax –related matters;
8. Be a professional user of SAP system;

Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree major in Accounting, Finance or Economics is preferred but not limited;
2. Knowledge of principles and practices of accounting (esp. IFRS and PRC GAAP)
3. Minimum 5 years finance related working experience in multi-national company with 2 years management position;
4. Good verbal and written English skills
5. Good command of PC skills and accounting software
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills and other soft skills
7. Able to work efficiently and effectively under time pressure to meet deadlines
