Position: Finance Controller - Kunshan

Client Summary:
This international company, headquartered in The Netherlands, has established a worldwide presence in twelve countries along a hundred years of existence. One of the largest suppliers of fasteners to the European automotive industry, the company also provides machines and tools to its automotive customers. The company is rated at the Euronext stock exchange in Amsterdam. It is now expanding its activities in China and is looking into recruiting for its new installation in the Shanghai area.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the reporting, performance, planning, finance, to ensure the integrity and transparency in the delivery of business performance. Direct report to the CFO.
- Financial accounting, budget planning, operation accounting and reporting for internal/external reports.
- Implementation and integration of accounting systems applications.
- Formulate and implement well-defined, effective and streamlined processes which fit the requirement of a well-balanced and sustainable business model.
- Build up capability of WOFE finance staff at all levels to meet company growing needs.
- Provision (supply) of financial services such as treasury, banking, risk management, credit control, capital asset management and capital expenditure request.
- Ensure corporate governance and compliance according to PRC regulations.
- Represent the WOFE in all taxation negotiations with the State Tax Authorities to optimize tax payments. - Advise Senior Management about the implications of business decisions on tax, IC price issues.
- Annual Transfer price documentation.

Requirements:
- 5 to 10 years experience in a similar function, with a good track record in MNC operations would be highly regarded.
- Experience with building teams, developing processes, and managing change. Effective at translating strategies into plans and actions.
- Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting
- Good communication skills in English and Chinese
- Internal Control: understanding of control framework, ability to apply internal control procedures and associated monitoring processes to minimize exposure to key risks.
- Financial Accounting: understanding of financial ledgers including Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/Fixed Assets/General ledger.
- Manage external and internal auditor requirements and ensure integrity in the financial accounts.
- Tax Accounting: knowledge of preparing financial statements for submission to local fiscal authority in compliance with local tax regulations.
- Statutory Accounting; knowledge of local accounting standards (for local statutory reporting) and experience with reporting.
- Business Planning: ability to analyse the business operations in its logical component parts, and objectively challenge the cost/benefit relativity of each.
- Understanding Business: Ability to identify business drivers and relate them to the business' performance and strategic objectives.
- Problem Solving: Able to analyze, identify root cause, and solve problems with the use/development of appropriate financial tools and team resources.
- Self Motivated: Motivated, creative, open to new ideas.
- Networking: Good at communicating management objectives/issues. Builds on others' good ideas and shares best practice; ability to work in a potentially ambiguous context to deal with.
- Personal impact: Able to persuade and influence others through personal credibility and assertiveness.
