Job Summary / Expectation and Key Accountabilities
The candidate will take the role of the construction manager as the one of key members in Owner capital project management team.

He or she will fill the position of construction manager in owner’s project team during the project detail design and construction stage. He or she will report to project manager functionally during project execution stage, and he or she will be aligned to companyEngineering Solutions organization as a Dow contingent employee.

? Oversee total construction activities to ensure project is constructed in accordance with safety, design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with Company internal function representatives, operations representatives, governmental authorities, construction contractors, etc.
? Ensure Company safety standard, practices and policies, Company MET practices, Company work processes GB codes are being utilized during field construction.
? Strong team player.
? Excellent construction scheduling and organizations skills
? Strong communication skills
? Solid background in construction-related procedures and regulations.
? Experience in managing priorities and timelines simultaneously
? Able to work extended and / or unsocial hours to fulfill his / her role.
? Provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required.
? Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
? Understand Chinese government project permitting process.




Essential / Education / Experience Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in chemical mechanical or engineering / construction science with 12+ years chemical construction industry work experience.
2. Minimum 5 years experience in working with and managing construction contractors.
3. The field construction management experience in international EPC contractor for chemical/ petroleum plants will be plus.
4. Fluent English both in oral and writing.
