Job Summary / Expectation and Key Accountabilities
The candidate will take the role of the civil engineer as the one of key members in Owner capital project management team.
He or she will fill the position of civil engineer in owner’s project team during the project FEL, detail design and construction phase. He or she will work closely with project manager/engineer during project execution stage, and report to company Engineering Solutions Asia Pacific organization.
· Supervise and coordinates the work as civil lead on capital project teams.
· Applies leadership skills with technical knowledge in the design, application and procurement of civil related items.
· Ensures the Civil Work Process Discipline (WPD) is used on capital projects to provide the design activities necessary for the construction and maintenance of process plants.
· Provides technical support to others and is involved with the creation and maintenance of global specifications.
· Strong overall civil design and engineering skills with advanced knowledge in a specific area.
· Fully applies Industry Codes and Standards. Uses global standards to ensure company’s Most Effective Technology is implemented.
· Full Knowledge of Design and Computer Tools. Is recognized as an expert in a specific area of civil technology.
· Ensures that environmental regulations and Safety and Loss Prevention Principles are considered in design.
· Participates in the development of global standards and specifications.
· Mentors other personnel in the application of design tools and work process methodology.
Essential / Education / Experience Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with 8+ years design and engineering work experience is a must.
2. Excellent communication ( written and oral in English) and interpersonal skill
3. Work experience in international owner or EPC company for chemical/ petroleum project is a plus.
4. Strong team player
5. Experience in managing priorities and timelines simultaneously
