Position Summary:
The Area Sales Supervisor, Life Science,is responsible for managing, leading and building an effective and motivated Life Science Sales team in achieving the set business goals and objectives in Northern China.
A leader with clear direction, understanding of the business environment we operate in, good interpersonal communication skills and teamwork.
Required to do strategic analysis, plan, strategic, implement and monitor execution plans to ensure business wins.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, Manage & Direct Activities of Sales Team
Achieve necessary sales goals and objectives.
Works closely with National Sales & Marketing Manager, China to determine and adjust the sales organization, and assign territories or accounts to each team member required.
Utilizes effective sales tools to improve and monitor performance of the sales team.
Become knowledgeable of major product lines
Understand and communicate customer requirements and interact with customers, grow new clients as well as manage and retain the current customer base
Sales Revenues
Achieves South China Life Science orders/sales objectives, grows and expand the business.
Distribution Channel Management
With good teamwork with South China Life Science Distribution Effectiveness Manager
Leads the Area Sales to motivate and manage distributors to fulfill the business goals.
Customer base
Constantly focus on growing the business through relationship building and customer satisfaction with existing customers and developing new ones.
Effectively communicate with customers at higher level to ensure long term business partnership.
Knowledge base
Good Life Science product, market and industry knowledge and need to constantly keep abreast of new developments in the marketplace example: competitors' activities.
Resourceful and has good problem solving skills in handling day-to-day issues
Engage customers in technical discussions and present proposals and solutions
Education / Experience:
Individual must have a Bachelors degree or equivalent in a science-related field. Biology related subject degree is preferred. A Master or Doctor degree in Biology is an advantage.
Over 3 years of Sales experience is appropriate.
Multi-national company selling experience preferred.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills including professional telephone skills. Good English in oral & written skill is a plus.
Passion and self motivated.
