With us you will be responsible for
The Sales Manager (hunter) will play a key role in Tieto’s expansion with new and existing customers for our Product Development (Software R&D) Services. This is a highly visible position within Tieto for executing our go-to-market strategies with named target customers.
The Sales Manager main responsibilities:
- Define go-to-market strategies and execute in close collaboration with our global delivery teams, working in tight cooperation with customer teams, solution architects, business development teams, and other internal or external partners and suppliers.
- The position requires a proactive attitude, high ambition to achieve goals and sustainable results, as well as strong customer orientation, representing Tieto and our offerings in conferences, industry related events and meetings with customers and partners.
- The candidate’s primary responsibility will be to develop and win new sales opportunities, identifying and developing new business through networking and follow-up calls as well as responding to tender documents, writing proposals, reports and supporting presentations creation.
- Lead global virtual bid teams, and manage the full sales cycle from qualification to closure.
- Build and maintain a strong opportunities pipeline, and close new business to meet agreed quarterly- and annual targets.
We expect you to have
Desired Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in selling product engineering services.
- Strong technical background in software and product development especially in the telecom domain
- Excellent telecom know-how, ideally in Wireless Infrastructure Services & solutions.
- Solid sales (hunter) personality with a strong desire and ability to win new business and new logos
- Wide customer relationships already established within communications, telecom, IoT or semiconductor sectors
- Customer focused, ensuring customer experience and that you deliver what you promise and add value in your customer’s business
- Track record of defining go-to-market plans and executing these with excellence and a sense of urgency

Tieto has been operating in China since 2001. Tieto China was established officially in 2003. From the first software development project in Mobile Devices R&D started in 2003 till the current business extension in the field of communications and embedded technologies, Tieto China has experienced rapid growth both in business and technology areas. During the four years since the opening of Chengdu office in 2008, the number of employees has reached 1,000 proving rapid increase in staff in China. Currently, PDS has three R&D Centres in Beijing, Chengdu, and Hangzhou. The key to Tieto China successful development lies in its close customer cooperation, global business, and outstanding talents.
