ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES：
Financial Reporting
? Responsible for the oversight of the technical accounting and accuracy of financial reporting within GFS Dalian, China. Provides guidance and identifies issues to ensure the accurate and timely closing and reporting of the Pfizer’s financial results in compliance with local and US GAAP, SEC and Statutory requirements
? Plans, organizes and directs the execution of the company’s accounting activities by providing oversight to GFS in the preparation of balance sheets, statements of profits and losses, assessment of financial performance, supplementary reporting requirements, statutory reporting. Assists in the preparation of any SAB 99 analysis required and understands and monitors remediation plans for identified errors during the close working in concert with GRCC. Ensures appropriate documentation of accounting decisions made by the center.
? Assists in the implementation of both financial reporting and management reporting changes where required.
? Provides leadership for monthly/quarterly close, monthly controllership reviews with operations, representation letters, account reconciliations, and Corporate requests for data to fulfill external reporting requirements.
? Uses experience and knowledge of business and trends to determine and communicate basis of materiality of variances in the financial statements
? Works with the Business Technology (BT) and GFS Shared Services teams in undertakings to rollout new financial systems or in moving work to a shared service or center of excellence by providing guidance on internal control or accounting matters.
? Works with our external auditor in understanding and resolving concerns.

Provide Accounting Expertise
? Serves as a first-line resource for guidance and interpretation of US GAAP, Pfizer Accounting Policies and Procedures and other accounting-related questions and proactively acts as a resource to GFS Shared Services in this capacity. Does accounting research with Pfizer policies and other tools and coordinates with the Technical Accounting group where necessary.
? Designs and implements standard analytics to validate the accuracy of key operating statement and balance sheet accounts on a quarterly or other basis and review with Senior Management and KPMG as part of review of financial results
? Leads efforts with GFS Shared Service colleagues to resolve all issues with P&L and obtain explanations for balance sheet variances and support investigation into technical issues.
? Engages in and provides accounting advisory services including the in-depth review, development, and design of accounting practices controls and/or entries to be applied to various business events/initiatives
? Advises GFS Shared Services leadership regarding complex financial accounting and reporting issues).
? Performs special analysis of major issues as required and recommend solutions to complex Controllership issues and technical accounting issues.
? Provides technical expertise to management for acquisition, divestiture, co-promote, co-market and in-licensing activities by providing analysis, recommendations or alternatives on technical financial issues.


Controls / Compliance
? Partners with Corporate Audit Staff and GFS Shared Services leadership to drive closure of open audit issues and proactively work to prevent future issues/manage risk and provides senior leaders with status updates as appropriate.
? Assists GFS Shared Services colleagues in complying with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and statutory reporting.
? Develops a strong relationship between GFS Shared Services and our external auditors (KPMG LLP) and serves as KPMG’s point of contact on GFS Dalian, China financial accounting issues.
? Provides guidance on accounting policies and procedures in accordance with corporate policy to help ensure they record appropriate operations and the correct level of approval for the transactions and brings more complex matters to the Technical Accounting Group.
? Ensures that the responsibilities of the (1) markets supported by GFS and (2)GFS and NY are clearly defined and actions are completed on a timely basis, for example balance sheet reviews
? Works with GRCC (Global Risk, Compliance and Control), where necessary, to assess risks and to understand areas of concerns and ensure remediation efforts are completed.
? Proactively identifies controls concerns and recommends improvements.

Policy/Process
? Provides oversight to GFS teams to drive process consistency and efficiency.
? Interprets and implements Pfizer Accounting Policies and Procedures and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles with direction from Divisional Controllers and Corporate Controller. Drives consistent and effective policies and procedures during monthly/quarterly close process
? Responsible for identifying and implementing control and process improvements, simplification measures and automation opportunities in financial processes in conjunction with groups such as GFS, BT, GRCC).

Strategy/Planning
? Proactively identifies new accounting standards applicable to the business and GFS Shared Services and develops appropriate implementation strategy in conjunction with any centrally coordination implementation plans (e.g., Revenue Recognition).
? Work closely with Internal Audit, GRCC and finance and operations to assess and manage financial risk.
? Works with GFS leaders to implement business and financial strategy in alignment with Corporate Policy, US GAAP, and local regulations.
? Ensures sharing of best practices among GFS Divisional Controllers in other geographies around the world

Leadership/Management
? Partners with divisional controllers in navigating issues within the GFS Shared Services region (e.g. commercial, manufacturing, R&D and enabling functions).
? Leads various projects, manages change, and drive improvements.
? Ensures training provided to GFS Shared Service colleagues on general accounting principles and changes in company policies is provided as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS ：
Education/Licenses/Certifications/Relevant Experience:
? Education – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
? Licenses – Certified Public Account or Chartered Accountancy equivalent required
? Masters in Accounting or MBA strongly preferred
? 8+ years of diversified experience with a solid foundation in Accounting and Controls.
? A minimum of 4 years’ experience with a Big 4 accounting firm preferred
? Shared service experience and understanding of Pfizer’s processes preferred
? Strong business acumen required and commercial/operational experience is preferred.
? Demonstrated track record of delivering results in a complex matrixed organization.
? Proven ability to work across functions and positively influence outcomes when there is not direct reporting line.
? Strong analytic skills: Demonstrate ability to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers
? Experience championing and successfully leading projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas.
? Experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing.

Technical Skills:
? Demonstrated proficiency in US GAAP, local GAAP, Statutory Reporting, FASB and IFRS; good working knowledge of Pfizer Accounting Policies and Procedures.
? Demonstrated success in managing corporate controls and driving business results
? Microsoft Office suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel, is required. Experience using Hyperion, SAP, Oracle or other financial reporting systems is beneficial.
