Responsibilities
-analysis and simulation team to provide technical solutions to Caterpillar product & system development.
-in the area of product development and validation to resolve issuesand challenges.

-be responsible for working with customers to understand the requirements, developthe technical scope and plan, and deliver the solutions to customer meeting time, cost and quality goal.

-a mentor to the engineers in the related systems or functional areas, and focus on how and insure a common approach and implementation of the best practices.

-The person will stay current with technology within Caterpillar and within the industry and play a key role in aligning those technologies with customer requirements

Qualifications
-Requires a BS or higher technical degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field, and 10+ years of previous experience in heavy machinery or automotive industry, with minimum 5+ year experience in CAE.

- Musthave indepth knowledge in Finite Element Analysis, be proficient with engineering analysis for industrial applications, and have strong problem solving skills. Must be proficient in CAE tools, such as ABAQUS, IDEAS, NASTRAN, ANSYS, or equivalent tools.

-Skills in product design, product and process design, development or research of products, components or systems, and customer relations are needed.

-6--Sigma experience is a strong plus. Excellent human relations and communications skills are necessary.
Desirable Qualifications
Design or testing experience of machine components and systems in heavy machinery or automotives
Manufacturing experience in heavy machinery or automotives
