Responsible:
? Plan, implement and maintain the Engineering and Quality organizations, supervise employees and arrange staff and their schedules to meet project' requirements, production schedules, product modifications, and customer expectations;
? Responsible for R&D activity in company: modification to existing products and new products required for the market place;
? Plan and implement improvements to the product development process;
? Plan and implement improvements to the quality process/ procedures;
? Engineering Department will be responsible for maintaining and controlling all technology transferred from USA and preparing the respective drawings, bill of materials and other documentation in Chinese and in English;
? Engineering Department will be responsible for all product engineering including drawings, bill of materials, specifications and product/components evaluation testing;
? Quality Department will be responsible for all interactions pertaining to quality with vendors, in production, and to our customer;
? Quality Department will be responsible for maintaining ISO certification and compliance to corporate quality standards;
? Formulate and oversee implementation of department plans, drawing and specifications standards, quality standards;
? Provide support for sales, pre-sale and after sale, and the factory on all technical and product related issues. (Including quality);
? Department will be responsible to provide all the manufacturing engineering functions required in the company, such as: process methods, work instructions, tooling, fixtures, machines, plant layout;
? Working in conjunction with manufacturing, develop and maintain manufacturing processes sheets and time standards that support the company's quality standards and profit objectives;
? Plan for and direct the testing laboratory activity;
? Support logistics in finding sources for manufacturing components in China and help insure that the vendor is capable of meeting Sloan requirements. This includes relaying all product requirements to the vendor;
? Work with Purchasing and Manufacturing to establish qualified vendors and work to improve their respective total quality;
? Work closely with other departments and functional areas to meet project and corporate goals and objectives;
? Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requires:
? 4 years university engineering degree;
? More than 12 years' work experience in product design and development;
? Working knowledge of: computer aided design and ERP systems;
? More than 5 years' experience in a supervisory position, has good people skills, and has good leadership skills;
? Viewed as a leader by his subordinates, peers, and management;
? Has good project management skills;
? Knowledge of casting, machining, polishing, chrome plating and assembly would be beneficial;
? Effective written and oral communication in English and Mandarin Chinese;
? Strong organization skills; must be to work as a team with logistics, vendors, and other Sloan engineering teams;
? Working knowledge of "best" business practices such as FMEA, PPAP, DOE, Control Plan, etc;
? Has working knowledge of Quality best practices.
