Major Responsibilities: |

- Lead implementation and operation of EMS which is integrated to OEMS system.
|
|
- Promote teamwork, evaluate team performance, and develop team members’ skills & capabilities, always leading by example.
|
|
- Develop employees using DC tools, internal training and external training to ensure employees feel valued by DC and feel they have a career within DC.
|
|
- Plan environmental management goals and objectives for the coming 1 to 5 years to facilitate improvement and get them agreed by management.
|
|
- Lead the waste disposal team to ensure the site has a low liability high reliability waste disposal option once running.
|
|
- Manage site governmental interactions with the EPB, to ensure that the relationship is strong.
|
|
- Look to influence design of plant at ZJG ensuring that best environmental practice is used and corporate standards are followed, were possible.
|
|
- Manage Permit system for site and ensure all plants take ownership for permit compliance.
|
|
- Manage permit violations/communications with EPB, ensuring accuracy and swift response.
|
|
- Ensure all EPB/internal audit/external audit corrective actions are prioritized and implemented.
|
|
- Manage process environmental data collection/reporting systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and provide the site/EPB/corp with representative quality and timely data to ensure compliance.
|
|
- Regularly review legislation update/change system to ensure the site takes the correct decisions to stay compliant and improve.
|
- Investigate any permit non compliance to ensure the corrective actions address the root cause and result in future improvement.
|
- Report any non compliance to EPB, corporation (GIMS or AFTS corporate reporting tool).
|
- Be the site representative for environmental in project reviews e.g. SAT, SHE, PCR.
|
- Ensure job responsibilities and PIP’s are completed for the environmental department and incorporate the EHSS policy requirements along with site/corporate goals.
|
Qualification Required:
1) Master Degree with major in Environmental Science/Engineering preferred;
2) Minimum of 5-10 years in application of environmental science in MNC;
3) Experience in Air, Water, Solid Waste handling is preferred;
4) Be familiar with the application and requirements of Chinese environmental regulations;
5) Management experience is preferred for this position
