The Academic Director's responsibilities include:
1. Research & Development
A. Formulation and monitoring of Products development;
1) Curriculum development: develop and keep on updating curriculum according to company strategy and K12-Marketing in China.
2) Other additional program development.
B. Formulation and monitoring of Teaching development;
1) Development of teaching method and teaching procedure for academic goals at different levels;
2)Form standardized Teaching Plan;
2. Set up Training System
A) Teachers Training: Organize regular training for new teachers or senior teachers to develop their academic ability and teaching ability.
B) Organize training to relevant department when the curriculum be updated.
C)Organize training to relevant department on relevant educational technology and technique;
3. Set up a System of Teachers Management & Teacher’s Performance Evaluation;
A)Teachers Management: Interviewing teachers, building up team and developing people, offering mentor-ship and building motivation.
B)Teacher’s performance evaluation: Help with set up a reasonable evaluation system and assessing teachers monthly or quarterly.
4. Build the Teaching Quality Monitoring System;
A) Build appropriate system to monitoring teaching quality, oversight the academic performance.
B)Be able to analyze and identify the school demands, and provide academic support.
The ideal candidate will meet all or most of the following criteria:
1. At least 5 years relevant working experience (experience with K12 educational background is highly preferable)
2. Master’s degree in education or related field;
3. Sound knowledge of Education in the United States and Experience of Curriculum Development (English Language Art) in China;
4. Can work independently, responsibly, and show initiative and be able to work under pressure.
5. Have an excellent command of English and Mandarin.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills and warm personality.
7. Outstanding presentation skills.
8. A profound understanding of the Chinese education system and business culture;
9. Cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
