Roles & Responsibilities

● Thisrole will be expected to play a leadership role in the design, architecture,and development of critical business and customer-facing applications insupport of the Wall Street English business in China.

● Particularattention will be focused on developing our eCommerce marketing, sales, andsupport platforms.

● Createquick prototypes of new ideas and demo to the business

● Responsiblefor delivering high-quality technology solutions by analyzing 'as-is' anddesign 'to-be' solutions through deep understanding of business process,business requirements and application architecture

● Responsiblefor managing the end-to-end software development lifecycle/process/tools,including but not limited to writing functional specs, coding, preparing testcases, performing integration tests, preparing Train-The-Trainer materials,etc.

● Manageday-to-day system development activities and communication across project teamsin order to deliver solution on-time, on-budget, and as-requested by ourcustomers (business partners)

● Providesuggestions for optimizing business process to make them streamlined andefficient, and responsible for implementation once it’s accepted by business

● Otherinitiatives as assigned by line manager

Skills/Experience Required

● Bachelordegree in Computer Science or equivalent

● Atleast 5 years of solid experience in the design and development ofdepartment-wide or enterprise-wide applications.

● Experienceof developing and building commercial solutions in retail environment

● Familiarwith at least one ecommerce platforms such as SAP Hybris, Magento, etc.

● Experienceof using commercial or open-source website CMS

● Integrationwith payment gateways: WeChat, Alipay, Unionpay, etc.

● Integrationwith enterprise-level systems (CRM, ERP, BI, HRIS, etc.) through enterpriseservice bus (such as IBM WebSphere)

● Comprehensiveknowledge of technology infrastructure and application operation:

● ITIL(incident, problem, change management)

● Network/serverbasics

● Troubleshootingskills

● Experienceof building solution by using public cloud such as Azure, AWS, Aliyun isconsidered as a plus

● Strongknowledge of following technology stack:

● Strongcapabilities/confidence to learn new technology quickly

● Back-endtechnologies: NET (C#, MVC & EF), SQL Server, Oracle DB and NoSQL

● Front-endtechnologies: HTML5, CSS, ECMAScript 5 & ECMAScript 6, jQuery, Bootstrap,AJAX, node.js

● Mobiletechnologies: Apache Cordova

● Experienceof designing and building iOS/Android app is a plus

● Experienceof designing and building Oracle BI solutions is a plus

● Clearunderstanding of system development life cycle and methodology.

● Provencapability of business requirement collection and analysis

● Capableof translating business requirements into actionable functional requirements

● Solidknowledge and strong awareness of information security

● Proactive,passionate, positive thinking, can work under pressure with “can-do” attitude

● Strongcuriosity of new technologies and a quick learner

● Goodcommunication skills
